This is exactly what I've been saying for a long time. Regardless of the cause of climate change we have to be more responsible. Of course we are having an impact but how much of it is us and how much of it is normal warming and cooling of the earth? This is an important question and without a definitive answer these debates will continue. I believe a definitive answer will be elusive for a long time. I'm no climatologist but I am not even sure how you can accurately test such a theory. We only have one lab. There isn't a control group, the variables are nearly infinite and we only have a fraction of a second worth of recorded climate data. Of course, I'm referring to the earth as our ONE LAB. This is all I'm saying. Well, that and the fact that climatology is in its infancy. I understand that they look at weather and temperature trends, ice cores, rock stratta, etc. but those things only take us so far. All that being said, we have to be more responsible.Cap and Trade instituted in its current form would make businesses operating in regions enforcing those policies much less competitive
Burning of fossil fuels, aerosols, industrial farming are a few examples of man's role in climate change
No scientist is claiming that humans are the solely responsible for climate change
However the impact we have had on the Earth and her ecosystems are undeniable
We absolutely have to start living within our means and showing more respect for our environment
