Monster Cropping Increasing Yield

I just started flowering a re-vegged pineapple express. It grew out a bunch of branches from the remaining stem which I trained with wire to grow horizontally and evenly spaced so that the plant resembles a parasol. All the small branches were cut off to focus growth on the big branches, where it counts. I´ve used this method before and I had excellent results; the second harvests yielded consistently more than the first, sometimes with denser buds.

I tried this..and wont do it again...

It is to slow...plants are small compared to the others...the other clones are three times bigger...I don't know yet if the buds are better or not...I will find out in 4 weeks...from what I can see I am better off taking clones from veging plants right before flowering...just my two cents...
Cheers, got some pics?
I might give this a try.

-Sticky this -

i really like this. I believe it should be stickey'd. I havent come across any post encouraging this type of cloning. Usually this is thought of as wrong, but from the pics and others people's input, It does work, and could quiet possibly be the ultimate scrog or sog tecnique..... (cloning that is)

Great job ! ! ! ! STICKY THIS ADMIN ! ! !

Trying Monster Cropping for the first time... which pots (final) should I use? I have 3 root flowering clones (in fact one of them is revegged and branching like hell) and I'm just wondering how much soil should they have (I'll try getting a shit load of tops from them). Indoor, 400w HPS + 250w MH.

When it comes to the number of tops indoor, I guess it all depends on the strain. Right now, I have one Jack La Mota with 11 tops, LST, and yes, they are thinner than usual. I LST'ed the bitch and then accidentaly topped her (which I thought wouldn't be bad at all, since it would remove the top's dominance). Still, I have a Haze Mist (Advanced Seeds), with 10 or 11 tops also, and they look like regular buds to me. Funny, I didn't top this one, just left the "main" top a bit below the others before going 12/12 and it seems to have lost its dominance.
I mean, with some strains it ain't worth it to get all this tops but with some others it might be. This Haze Mist, surely it doesn't have 10 or 11 huge colas but it sure has 10 or 11 decent tops, that'll surely yield more than 4 bigger tops.

@Trabecula...just a quick question are you going to run MH AND HPS during Veg...if that's the case have you had success with it in the past? Haven't read and or seen many dual spectum veg people and am curious to try it myself.

001.jpg005.jpg Watch this. My 2 little monster buds are just starting to get their legs. I cloned them off 30 days ago. They took a while to root before getting transplanted into 5 gallons of Happy Frog,(with out the bugs) mixed with 2 quarts of worm castings, 2 quarts of vermiculite and 1/2 cup of bat guano. I just bent them over and pinned them down with wire hooks, sprayed them with plain water and 2 hours later they're already looking up at the T5 lights. The one has 6 main branches that grew an inch in 24 hours and more still popping out. The other one has really fat leaves and just got transplanted last night and she grew over an inch also. I think these girls are really going to turn into something special. I've got another one that I just started off of this girl.006.jpg She's been flowering for just 20 days and growing noticably everyday. Check back in a few days. I'll have some updates...............

019.jpg023.jpg Well my little monsters haven't really jumped out of bucket like I was hoping, but they are making some good progress. They got their first real drink last night. I thought the soil might be a little nitrogen hot for them so I was letting them settle in a bit before watering. 024.jpg Here is one that was monstered off of last years outdoor crop and left to veg all winter, She went out on 5/5 and just tightening up and getting ready to flower now.

medicaard, you oughta remove the first few nodes then do what you do ....give ya some room to water and the plant to take in co2.

This is a great thread!! I actually did the same thing for an experiment and got great results. We took a small cutting from a budding plant and put it in a smaller pot at 12/12 to make a lil bush. Well turns out the mom died and thats all I had left was the little girl. I put her in a veg cycle and could not believe what we got. Now there is a two headed bush that looks like at least a quarter pound yielder. Here she is thirty days into flowerIMG_19700102_110942.jpg

I did this once before a few years ago. Changed the whole structure of the nug. Before doing that the nice were huge. After that. They grew straight glands no nugs. Never did it again.

Try it again, my nugs are huge and on par with the first one I tried. That plant yielded a 3oz bud on top. You know how it goes im sure some respond better than others

Been away for a while... anyway, as this was the first weed related forum I ever used and the first place I heard of Monster Cropping, I feel I must share with you my experience... unfortunately, I followed it in another forum, in my native language... still, if you want to check it out, just google "monstercropping" and it will be your 3rd result. Currently I don't have the pics with me, maybe I'll post some of them later (impossible to post them all, around 8-10 pics per week).
Amnesia Haze (Soma Seeds), Jack La Mota (Medical Seeds) and Haze Mist (Advanced Seeds), were the chosen ones! They're starting their final flush now.

Cheers!

Great thread, I always thought that flowered cuttings just died. I have two Pineapple Express plants that are in this range of flowering so I am going to take some cuttings tomorrow. I'll LST the hell out of them over the winter and see if I can turn them into single 4x4 scrog plants under 600 watt lights.

I thought I didn't have an option to keep my PE strain going, now I have a chance to have a nice spring crop!
