Mid-flower crisis, revenge of the bananas.

Hello fine people of rollitup. I seem to have had most of my last threads removed and my rep and posting numbers changed so as of this moment I'm not sure what I've done wrong.

Anyways here is my problem - I have 2x Dutch Passion Blueberry feminized that are 4weeks into flower. Both of my girls are beginning to pop out pollen sacks. They are not the stereotypical ball on a stick sort of pollen sack, but much more like little bananas. They are fairly easy to spot as they are a lighter shade of green than the bud.

so I ask humbly for any growers of DPBB to advise me...

1) will the amount of pollen sacks appearing increase or do they tend to just appear here and there (ie in a managable way)?

2) will the seeds that are formed from this type of pollen be feminized and likely to be good seed stock?

3) considering I dont mind the idea of a few seeds is this really a big deal?

P.s i swear I'm not lazy, I have looked into this strain extensively and have grown it in the past, I just havent had hermies so early on (my last DPBB did hermie in the end thought). I have sort of stressed them so It is likely my fault...but whats done is done.

Hmmm...the seeds would be feminized to a point...but if the plants that grow out of those seeds are put through the same stress as the parent plant then they too will hermie...like, lets say that a light leak is what made the original plant hermie, then fix the leak before growing the seeds...lol. So figure out how these plants became stressed and don't stress the seeds...

ohhh...and there aren't usually too many pollen sacks on a hermie plant...although sometimes there is...but a few pollen sacks on a female plant will give you such a small amount of seeds that it doesn't really effect anything...

The fem BB are very hermie prone. You have to have a perfect setup to not get them, and even then, you might. If all your females have pollen sacks then just ride out the storm. Pull any sacks off that you see and finish the plants. I gotta couple hundred seeds from my Blueberry that hermied, I sure as hell am not going to be growing them. The other pheno I grew was way better and didn't hermie at all.

ahh thats music to my ears. I just dont want to find twice as many pollen sacks next week and four times the amount the next week if you know what I mean. Stresses in my case have been topping the plants twice and having very low night temps, they both hermied pretty quick. Thanks for the reply amigo.

Aye that they are, all the BBs I've grown have hermied. This is the earliest hermie yet though. I have topped my plants twice and had brutal cold nights so I dont blame them really ^^

I dont want to waste time with crap seeds so I'll think twice before planting any of my own seeds. I tried some thai bagseed recently that i will post a full report on. SPOILER - they were a big waste of time.

man I love finding bananas on female plants, of course in small amounts. I take the pollen sacks off with tweezers before they open, of course you cant catch them all, but the ones I do see I pluck and store in a film container in the fridge until I find the perfect strain to cross the pollen with. it just requires a small popcorn site just showing white hairs and a paintbrush to apply the pollen. Create your own strains!!!

I'm still perfecting the whole pollenation thing. I recently tried to pollinate a G13 Blueberry Gum with White label Double Gum. Tried using a warhammer paint brush to apply the pollen with, and then bagged up the branch for a day. No seeds though :( I'll keep trying.
