I use both HPS/MH and COB LED in my flower room (depending on season). The only time I have experienced any Mg deficiency using MC was under the cobs. Ive experienced no deficiencies under HPS/MH on MC alone.

I gotta say that the majority of MC grows look really nice and I’m 100% sure I got other shit going on this run :(. And yes now that the larg bag is half price, it’s getting quite reasonable. As for the “don’t like additives” well I’m pretty sure the whole point of MC is it does have additives in a one part mix, just sayin lol.

I see some people are adding hydrogen peroxide to their nutrient feed. Now I may be incorrect but surely doing so is going to have a negative effect on your grows, considering that kelp extract is one of the ingredients in mega crop.

I use H2o2 and havent had any effects other than a relatively clean res. I get what you are saying with the kelp being organic, but I dont personally see any negative side effects like "water level rings" on the walls of my res or nasty byproduct floating around from any organics (extracts) that may be in MC using H2o2 like I've experienced with other nutes of this nature.

I havent got a lot of experience with Mega Crop, but so far, its working great for me. I dont know if its the strains Ive been growing or the LED's but I do seem to need to add some CalMag from time to time.

Also, as a newbie, Ive been reading everything I can find on nutes, etc and so far, Mega Crop has, by far, mostly rave reviews. Every nute brand out there I have seen has some people who hate it. Mega Crop's over all rating with growers is at least on par with all the others and I think maybe even above average.

Yee guys need to learn how to grow man,I've grown for for ever with all nutes only difference is price plain and simple keep trying I guess ,no problem with MEGA CROP just people don't have a clue what there doin ,growing is way easy ,most growers keep throwing all kinds of additives at there plants ,which is crazy, you guys should try growing with just plain nutes and go from there ,learn
I think I agree? I always used Dutch Nutrient formula, here in Canada it is somewhat cheap for liquid nutes and works great (mineral nutes - DNF). I was having issues with DNF at 1.6EC and ran out, decided to try my MegaCrop, it is stable for me at least (ebb and flow 80G res) so far? Not only that but I was having issues where the plants were rejecting an EC of 1.6 DNF nutes but easily took to eating 1.9 EC MegaCrop. And my PH has not changed in 4 days? Feeding 5g/Gallon.

What I think is that you guys might be overfeeding. I am starting week 4 in bloom (switched 4 days ago), and my plants are telling me via my res that this is the right level of nutes (slight 10-20ppm decrease per day in res and PH rising or stable). Whereas before the same level (or less) of mineral nutes with DPTA and EDTA Chelation were causing acidosis and rising EC daily. Don't have enough data yet to determine if this is the norm. But I do know and experts say less is more!

For me this is a total non-scientific craziness, as I am at week four of bud changing my nutes and also this is my first grow doing a 55% watt replacement HPS with Quantum boards.

Additionally, mid bloom here, I am switching from RO/DI water source to LAKE WATER for my first test of that. I have about three pounds riding on the result (my meds).

But basically, I never go 100% retard on what the nute manufacturers say. I usually aim for 75-85%.

I love MegaCrop. About out of my trial pack, and ordering more today probably.
I only grow 12/12 from seed, so I have created a perfect system for it.

left side are 43 days from seed. the far right is 32 days old, and have 4 that are 22 days old or so..

I use Cocoloco, and 1gallon fab pots, start to finish.
My tap is 7.0PH, 130PPMs
I use mallassis thru out grow, which drops my PH to a bufferable zone for the Cocoloco to handle.
So i dont use PH down, which is a plus, and gives the microbes some food.
Pre-mix before planting, I mix 1 tsp of recharge dry into the medium, mixing well.

day1-10- water-1/4tsp mallassiss
day11-20-water-1/4tsp mallassiss, .5gMC
day21-30- water-1/2tsp mallassiss .5mlCM, 1gMC
day31-40- water-1/2tsp mallassiss, .5mlCM, 2gMC
day41-50- water-3/4tsp mallassis, 1mlCM, 3g MC
day51-60- water-3/4 tsp mallassiss, 1mlCM, 4gMC
day61-70- water-3/4 tsp mallassiss, 5gMC
Flush- water-1/2tsp mallasssiss,

In the pic, i did a test to see what 5g MC does to a 10day old seedling.

I've been using megacrop in Titan flow and grow systems with hydroton. I add bennies but thats it. Growing under cobs for a few systems and HID in another. Stuff works perfect. I run 4 grams per gallon from start to finish. Mixes up wayyyy easier than jacks. The performance is Identical as far as i can tell.

I've almost finished the big bag they sell. 29lb or whatever. So its been a couple months running it.

Megacrop smells really bad amazing veg growth but yellowed faster than expected during flower I prefer jacks hydroponics I'm growing indoor in coco with led.

did you notice a Mag deficiency with MC? ive run a room full of GG4 last round and had mg even with jacks. had to foliar feed them epsom.

i imagine a bag of jacks lasts about twice as long seeing as you mix equal parts jacks to calnit but you are typically buying 2 20lb bags to get 2 times the run time.

im thinking about giving MC a try when i burn up all this excess Jacks on hand. i went through about 3/4 back of jacks and maybe half a bag of calnit on my last run filling a 275g reservoir once every 5 days

I ran some GG4 and Casey Jones x Sour Bubble last round at 6g/gal start to finish in Canna coco DTW under COBs, and had an Mg deficiency in both strains until I started adding 1g/gal of Epsom to the solution.

I usually run Jack's with 1g/gal of epsom too (3-2-1 Jacks-Calnit-epsom), so it wasn't too surprising given that Megacrop has less Mg.

I was very happy with the end results, fwiw.

were you happier than you were with Jacks? also did you get any clogged feed drippers with MC?

The jacks recipe is 3.6-2.4-1.2 if you did 1g Epsom per gal thats why you got a defeciency also late in flower you can bump it to like 1.5-2g per gal for the epsom.

I didn't have any clogs, but I did get some sort of sediment in my rez that apparently most people haven't had any problem with. Still trying to figure that out as it seems environmental, or at least most people report not having that issue.

As to whether I'm happier with it, the jury is still out. That run came out much better than average in terms of weight, frost, and terps, but the nutes weren't the only variable that changed.

So far I think I like the Megacrop better, but I've only done one full cycle start to finish. The one I have going now is looking excellent so far, though.

I’ve been using mega crop and so far I haven’t had any issues. Running a ebb and flow with tap water. I use a pk booster and feed 1/2 strength base nutes from week 6-8 and from week 8-10 I run the pk booster only.

I run an ebb and flow too and have been using House and Garden nutrients but I am considering going to Mega Crop. Any comments?
