I saw earlier in the post about doing greenhouses to battle the weather. If your new to them just make sure you have plenty of ventilation!! That is key to making a greenhouse work properly. Good luck to everyone this season!! Have a Dank Day!!

Container size question.
Last year I grew 2 plants in 60 gallon containers - plants were huge!!! - honestly, way more bud than I can use. I started 5 seeds this year, now about 2 weeks old in solo cups. Will transfer to 1 gallon smart pots and then to final container.
Issue is I really don't want/need huge plants this year. Anyone grow outdoors in small containers? - like 5 or 10 gallon - I feel like this will yield plenty for my needs - plus friends and family :)
Yessir...I used 7gal smart pots my first outdoor season and got great results. They are easy to move out of the rain all the way to harvest. I say go for it. 5-10 gal pots can give you great results.

You could go one step further (if the goal is quality not quantity) if you wanted to, and get into some topping and pruning techniques. Would be really cool to end up with 8 main, top shelf colas, and no larf.

Research and experiment...and dont forget pictures and updates so we all get some benefit from your work!

I'm still waiting for any days with direct sun. It seems like its been raining for the last month.
Finally getting some the last few days. Thank God. I was so pumped to start early, and then the long night came. Haha.

Good news is they were obviously throwing roots the whole time, because 2 days of sun and they exploded! The forecast is looking up. Instead of 3 weeks of clouds, rain, and sub 50 degrees, we have a few sunny days sprinkled in.

1 plant said "fuck that, I'm growing anyway" the entire time. Its a BlueBerry Fem from Canuck seeds. Incredible genetics on this thing. Never slowed down. Its going in a 25gal poolside pot!

I cant wait to get into that.

Figuring out the intake, the airflow, the exhaust, the temps and humidity and being able to do light deprivation...all that trial and error and experimenting sounds fantastic. Some day soon I'll be in that game. Its gonna be awesome.

Thanks! I've done training with indoor plants, but never outdoors - makes sense for smaller pots.

Brought my babies outdoors yesterday for a few hours (in 1 gallon pots for now) and they loved it! Now back in the tent since its 40 degrees and raining! This weather is killing me.

I've had mine out full time during the day now unless it's raining. They are finally ready and can handle the 50 degrees without any drama. That 1 or 2 warm days made them EXPLODE. So glad they bounced back from the cold wet streak. Now we need more of that warm sun...

My 6 girls after I let them get some rain this morning...still in 1 gallon pots.

Just timing the transplant to their final home pots, and hoping it matches up with the weather being there so I wont be needing the lights anymore.

Just a spud from 207 here, but gladly subbed for all the masshole grows. Ive grown for 10 years and have fought mold & bud rot towards the end of every season. Got a great 207 strain MOB as well as some Straw Cough going outside! Legal here as well. Laws ever changing but its 6 plants per, dont believe there is a household limit here. Starting from seed looking to grow sensi, but also breed & gain genetics and seeds forR&D and future seasons! Causing me to plant mid to late June. Happy growing go Bruins!

Ohhhhh...I get it. So 12 per house, but that's 12 in flower? So you could have 12 photos in early veg and 12 autos finishing at the same time?

If that's the case I'm rethinking my pathetic showing of 6 plants...

ya 12 in flower max per house,we can have up to 99 in veg under 12 in. over 99 is when the feds get interested.by the way that's in maine not mass

It was 3 per person pre January 2017. It's 6 plants per now. Governor tried to veto but this May they overruled his veto. I can link to the Maine legislation page if you'd like.

I still do not see anywhere a "household limit" It won't matter because I won't be flowering more than 12 because of space. But it may help educate other Mainers. Lot of regulation changes and upcoming amendments seem to be accelerating recently.

Tough day for everybody outside already in the Northeast. Best wishes

See...this is the issue they will run into trying to regulate plants the way they are, in places like MA.

They say 12 plants per house max. Is that flowering? Does that count males? What about clones? If someone clones a plant 20 times, can you prove in court, genetically, that they are different plants? There is just so much they are unprepared for in terms of controlling this, so watching them try is frustrating.
