This grow is being started with an existing grow in place. I will let you know of any problems we encounter. We just received some new seeds, Mango, Brains Damage and G13 labs power skunk, and we are adding them to an already lush garden. We start the seeds in moist paper towels. Day two: no spouts yet.

The first 6 pics show the existing setup. The next two show our new seeds and preparation for sprouting. The last pic shows our collection of seeds: White Skunk, Australian Blue, Brains Damage, AK-48, Mango, and G13 Labs Power Skunk. We also have a White Widow in rotation as well.

for those who are interested it is in fox farms ocean forest soil and we will be using the full line of fox farms products on the grow. Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, big bloom with the soluble tri-pack Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz and Cha Ching.

They are vegging under a T5 8 bulb Sunleaves Pioneer VIII. Flowering under a 1000 watt Sunlight Supply HPS. Both in seperate 3'x4'x6' prefab grow closets. Cloning under a CFL. Cooling system consists of a hole cut in the roof of the flowering room with a box fan stuck in it to pull all the heat off the top.

Day 4: We checked the seeds today and most had begun sprouting. They still need more time, hopefully our skunk isn't a dud.

I'm having trouble taking a closeup of the bud, any suggestions? I'm using a point and shoot Canon. Thanks

I have the same problem with my camera. It is a Canon power shot and no matter how much I zoom or where I stand I can never get those nice crystally clear nug close ups a lot of people here can get.

Anyone have any advice for us on how to take clearer pictures?

Day 5 the Brains Damage is germinated and popped out of the shell as seen in photo one. So I plant it in the dirt leaving the head popping just barely out of the soil. I will mist this seedling 4-5 times today to make sure it gets enough moisture until it starts sucking it out of the soil. In the second picture you can see the little first leaves at the tip of the seedling sticking out of the dirt if you look closely. I add Ionic Bloom to the mist I use to help build stronger roots.

The picture of the slightly larger seedling is a white skunk planted on the 16th. I figured I would add it tot his journal since it was so recently planted.

The Mango seeds and the other brains damage seed still have another day or two of germination time. The skunk appears to be a dud i will begin germinating a new one today.

It is looking real healthy so far. it's only been about 8 hours since I planted it in the soil and it has rown like an inch and the leaves are starting to open up. For those who don't believe in my head out planting method I will take another pic in the morning and you will see they start off happy and healthy this way.

sprout is coming along signs of the first leaf sets are coming. The other sprouts will be planted tomorrow. The skunk never germinated

Both Brains Damage seeds sprouted nicely and have been planted. They are both looking good at this point.

The skunk turned out not to be a dud and has been planted but seems to be struggling a little bit in taking to the soil.

The two Mango seeds were both kind of fucked up. One of them the root sprouted from the seed then just snapped off for no apparent reason the other one only sprouted about an 1/8th of an inch out of the shell. I planted the one that didn't sprou much and it appears to be alive but is not thriving. It may or may no pull through. I have begun germinating 3 more Mango seeds in case this seed doesn't make it I want to ensure we have some Mango genetics in the grow.

I left my camera at a friends Halloween night. I will pick it up tonight and provide some new pictures. I attached a picture of my white widow nearing completion from 2 days ago for those who enjoy a picture or two.

the skunk dried out and died. The remaining Mango still isn't sure if she wants to live or die. The brains damage both look super healthy and are growing away as we speak. The three mango's I put into germination on sunday are all cracking the shells but not quite ready for planting

Signs of life for the mango (pic 1). Brains Damage doing well (pic 2 & 3)

Word on the street is that none of the Mangos are doing to good, a bag of duds maybe. Thee Brains Damage seem to be doing great however.

aw that sucks man! =(
hope they come thru

Is that your girlfriend in your av? I'd hit it!

The one Mango that is living seems to be growing just at the slowest rate ever. I put all the remaining seeds into germinate. If they are all tehse super slow growing dud types then I am giving up on Mango and ordering a new fruity strain to play with.

hahaha thats me! thanks.... ? lol

aw man thats really dissapointing on the mango! i hope a spurt of strength comes it way!! juicy fruit ive heard is pretty fire. mine grew very nice but i sold it cuz i needed money bad! lol

Right on stunned!! Looks like you guys have come a long way:hump: and have some promising shit happening!!
Are you mixing your ffof with anything? And do you put your sprouted seeds right in it??
I 've grown in ffof for the past 4-5 years. It's the only soil I will use. I've never skimped on it nor reused it. I am pretty much all hydro now but I do keep a few moms in ffof. Fox Farm Ocean Forest is HOT soil. It will burn, stress, or even kill a sprouted seed.......yet I only once or twice started a plant in anything else(coco), and I was always able to get away with putting freshly rooted cuttings in it as well.....
The Grow Big, on the other hand, is really not even needed unless you veg for any length of time. When I was vegging for about 3-4 weeks I thinnk I used it only the last couple of waterings, and at 50%-for N, and then again 1-2 times when first in 12/12.
And EASY with the Tiger Bloom!---if you haven't figured that out yet:-?....
Big Bloom------ easy: IS THE SHIT!! I start using that from the first time I nute a plant until the last.......IMHO is the best all around bloom nute available and it's 100% organic...
I used all of the micros too and was very happy with them.

I dont know much about cameras; sorry.........

Well, it's off to the garden for awhile.
