View attachment 4376560 If ya think we just knew or were told how to make it... youd be very wrong lol
We smoked the best green shit there be  (::spew::lol::wall:(:
We used to think it took DAYS to wash the shit off the plant
at HOT TEMPS.
....well the isomerizer used a light bulb with rheostat. There was more to the process but lol ya we didnt know anything about polar and non polar back then either.
After this it was washed with water..then toluene used to extract that...added hydrochloric? acid...etc
NO FRiGIIN WAY IM TRYIN IT lol

thinking about it now..we could have washed so many friggin pounds using hot IPA when we used the machine at first. lol..:wall::!::o:wall:
we quickly learned the machine was slow and small :) lol and started refining things
I remember a few years back there was a company making modern versions of these machines.

I used to use a Tamisium Extractor which is blast rig and butane collector system setup. Can be done indoors.
Hot water and ice is all that's needed. And material and tane of course...lol
You reclaim almost all the butane to reuse. Not needed anymore. Anyone interested in one of these?

No it's a cool unit. Worked very well for lots of runs. Makes great oil if you have a nice starting material. It only holds about 4 ounces. I just needed bigger. So it sits. I see now you can use a heating jack...I didn't have that. Now how to eliminate the ice part.
Cool thing though as you can blast it inside on a cold winter's day.

When I made my last batch of that awesome oil, I used some methyl hydrate to clean out the glass dish from the previous batch of oil... I usually leave it in there and scrape out what I need, so it had scrapings left... The solvent is very dark green (so was the oil) and I had just thrown it into a mason jar and forgot it.

I'm going to put it under the MH grow light, like I did the good batch to get rid of the tinge of green... I'm curious if this will change color, and how much... and how long it takes...

No go, it maybe made it a little more yellow, but its still solid dark green... oh well, I'll just be using it to clean my bong...

So cool, it's like taffy, and a tiny bit opaque, almost looks red... almost...

Edit: By the way, I weighed it, I got half a gram...
The red color
...Its actually something that ends up in there. Some plants more than others.
Its a kinda " sap." a water soluble one as well
when we used to boil off..we would have the same red sap form around any utensils we were using to stir the oil
so privative but it worked I guess... The sap would wash off in water quickly..and
YES OF COURSE WE TRIED SMOKING IT!.........................!:eyesmoke::spew::weed:(::lol:  :wall: live and learn

The red colour is the pigment anthocyanin. It is more stable than chlorophyll but less dominant. When you exclude large amounts of chlorophyll from your extracts, more anyhocyanin (red) and carotene (yellow) pigments remain, giving you the yellow and reds of autumn and reddish or golden honey oils.

ok..:|

but there's still that water soluble RED SHIT I DON'T LIKE IN MY OIL :) ..................................just sayin:idea:
and if 30 seconds achieves that for burning GREAT
...as for it being in my indigestible meds... ???? washed over three minutes..I .won't see any red shit in your batch ;)

what ever it is..
Sap we called it..
its water soluble
..smokes like shit.
.and if ya do a good job in the process...
You don't see it ..(:

the guys here are working with fresh frozen herb as well as dry frozen and also different solvents..so this thread is all over the place :)

oxidation plays a huge roll in color.

Once I finish evaporating the solvent, there's always a brownish, possibly reddish, water left which I pour off. This is water pulled out of the air by the alcohol. I also wash the dish (with dry oil in it) in cold water, removes some of that water soluble brown stuff... Is that what you're talking about?

I know a guy who still soaks it for a week. Yack and double yack. He sells it to street bums and whores. $50 a fiver or three pair of used panties.
