I believe you get mesothelioma from asbestos...not asbestosis, which I don't know what that is.you can only get that from working with asbestos? which should be outlawed by all USA companies by now.
yes mesothelioma is from asbestos exposure. There's a ton of it still around too, I had an apartment whose outside tiles were made from it. Old firestop bags in cable holes have it as well. The key is not to disturb it and create dust, you will find hazmat setups regularly when a university or school is being remodeled.
