Low Watts = High Yield!

everyone has to start somewhere, some don't have money to put in. I happy for you that you do :bigjoint: Peace

So true dude. Im a new grower for one and a broke college student for another. CFL's are cheap and from what I've seen and learned on this site. They can get the job done, and really well. I mean look at riddleme and what he's done. Amazing work there

Tbh mate, it sounds like they're isn't enough water on the bottom of the pots.

Your placing wet medium around the top of the surface then the roots are going to grow to try and reach that.

Next time you do that, water the plant at the same time :)

Pellets work best either mixed into the medium or placed at the bottom of the pots to help encourage oxygen to the roots :)
well I'm not sure what you mean exactly but i put them on a day after I flushed because I suspected there was a build up of phosphorus because things were looking nute burnt, I have roots coming out of everywhere to be honest and its not because its looking for water i give it water soil moisture is optimum never saturated and i never let it get stone dry haven't over or under watered yet, I did what I did and its doing better now like I said that pic is 4 days old there is an improvement and it should improve more after the next watering when those pellets get washed down into the soil, I see your point on dissolving them though roots exposed to light is bad in all cases i just thought that it was interesting that they seemed to grow towards what they needed

Im out of college with no job trying to pay student loans and a credit card bill I cant even afford the right Nutrients as you can see lol I wish I could.

Svc : Make your pots bigger :) I think thats a good sign that your pot has reached its max capacity. Mine did that and then i put them into bigger pots and bam, problem was solved and plant shot up. Used some sorta time-release nutrients aswell, you'd be able to feed your plants then aswell.

Look on here for some soil mixes to do, it'll help ya out if you cant get any nutes :)

don't worry I know what I should be doing I just don't have the resources, its in a 4liter pot and has a canopy width of 6inches and would be 7inches tall if I wasn't doing LST, i think its just the phosphorus in the bloom nutes I've been using Phosphorus promotes root growth

thoes low watt grows are actually really cool. the way i see it... even if you have all the tools... a lot of people still manage to jank up a grow. but some people don't even HAVE all of the proper tools and they are still pulling off nice nuggets. Rep+ to all my ghetto hommies lol

Haha. Thanks man. We do what we can with what little we have. Weed is a tough plant. Itll grow in so many off set conditions. That's what's so great about it

My Lights just came on and yes she looks much much better today I gave her some water just a little though this soil stays pretty moist I'm using Miracle grow Organic potting mix :( lol I had a ph issue as well, I had light nute burn nitrogen deficiency and a ph issue all at once right after a transplant and this bitch keeps kicking, the soil was acidic I flushed with some wood ash mixed in that took care of the phosphorus bild up and the pH(wood ash has NaOH or lye which is alkaline and was used for making soaps back in the old days) now those ortho rose pride pellets are giving her the nitro she needs, the bottle says one tsp every 6 months but thats for roses this isn't a rose........ sorry im just very happy its doing better I know I'm rambling on I will stop now anyone want to see pics?

hey, i thought i would show you some pics from my 'ghetto' grow. I'm growing 2 Cinderella 99 clones in my dresser with CFLs (1 42w and 1 26w per plant). They are just about to start week 7 of 12/12. Since its my 1st grow and i'm still learning, i'm not expecting too much from them...it's mostly for fun. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

a great and cheap way to get good light reflection is go to wal-mart and buy an emergency blanket! theyre like a 6x8 piece of mylar and it works amazing! and its less than $3! if youre growing in a small space like i am, youll def have some to spare too..
