lost at least half my harvest due to mold

I had one of my outdoor plants start to rot from the stem (dense indica strain)

Luckily I caught it early and just chopped the dead part of the stem off and the top of the cola

You have to get inside those buds and inspect them bro sorry to hear about the loss.

Caterpillar damage is a starting point for mold so I've been removing dead matter. Mine fell over and I lost a few branches so I've started chopping what I can now.

Good luck !!

I think it was someone on this site that I heard the trick of taking a toothpick and prying back the little stem of each nug on big colas so it's kinda fanned out and less dense

The one WW that was basically one big cola was garbage. That entire plant went straight in the trash. I cut the main cola off the other WW. I couldn't find any other mold inside the buds. I pick the best looking tips and trimmed what will be about a half ounce dry. The rest of the plant is going to hash.

The super sour OG was insanely healthy, so even after cutting off the main fat colas I had some decent looking stuff with no visible mold. I trimmed up about 3/4 to 1 ounce. The rest went to hash.

I still think I will end up with about 8 ounces of non moldy bud from the other strains so I think I will be alright. I only have 2 patients in addition to myself. My next harvest will probably be around new years.
