lost at least half my harvest due to mold

Then I'm guessing you have a strain that is prone to mold up........some buds are just so thick and moist, mold will just happen, even under the best of environmental conditions.

I would definitely sterilize your tent with bleach in between runs. You could also buy a hepa filter for ~$40 that will help.

Me too. That sucks. After spending so much time, energy and worry. :(

Thank all that's holy I live in an arid region. Mold is non-existent here.

What mistake? I have air circulation. The environment is the way it is because that's what I set it at.
Yes, air circulation is your friend. I never turn off my fans. Moving air should control powdery mildew, but other molds can live in a high humidity environment with air flow. It (air flow) makes it harder for them to take a serious foothold, but it looks like in your case they did. It sounds to me all you need is a dehumidifier, the drier environment will save you from this next time.

Happy growing.

All i can suggest is leave fans(large) on 24/7 with plants moving in the airflow as mold starts during the dark period, also plants with no health issues and green full leaves from top to bottom resist mold better than a yellowing plant with leaf drop.

I don't think it's powdery mildew. It's not visible on the buds at all. When I look INSIDE the cola though there is some fuzzy white/grey mold growing. I don't think air circulation is the problem because it is so deep inside. Also 2 of my strains don't have it (and never have). I can only assume whatever mold is growing like gangbusters inside the colas is in all actuality all over my garden, it's just not taking hold on the ppp or ak-48.

I never turn any fans off. The only things that get turned on/off is lights, AC, dehumidifier, and pump for co2 generator. Scrubber fan, as well as tent ventilation fans, as well as oscillating fans inside the tents remain on 24/7. I have had many successful grows like this.

You may have had the misfortune of hosting a particularly grippy strain of Botrytis. Can you bring a fungistat on board? cn

I've always had some sort of mold probs with Indica dom strains. I like the tight buds, but found them to mold easier than most sativa doms.

I got about 1 week left until the last 2 plants come down. The only other plants I have are 3 in 3 gallon pots; all different strains, all from seed, all about 8 inches tall. The plan was to veg them for another couple weeks until they are large enough to take clones from, then move those 3 into flowering. I am going to do some cleaning and bleaching of the room once the last 2 come down. What kind of fungistat could I use?

I like the idea of a hepa filter, or some kind of filtration system just to keep the ambient spores and shit to a minimum.

Not sure what kind. What i don't know is if food-safe also means smoke-safe. But I'd select one of the synthetics. cn

When I see mold, I cut it right out. Don't let it stay in your room, even if close to finishing. Cut it out as best u can.....

Don't turn the dehumidifier off at night. Plant respirate out at night, and lots of moisture as well.
I don't. I set it at 40% and it cycles on/off as needed. Same goes for AC and co2 pump. They turn on as needed. Though co2 is automatically off while flowering lights are off.

I grew a Nirvana WW fem last season. She grew well, but the bud from her tastes and smells nasty. Potent, nice high, but tastes like urinal cake.

I am trying to line up my seed choices for this coming season's grow. I started a thread about it in Seed&Strain Reviews, but haven't got one reply yet. cn
Never tried urinal cake myself LOL

Currently for flowering I have a 4x4 tent with 1000 watt hps. Entire grow room is climate controlled. 84*F during the day. Gets down to low 70's at night. RH stays between 40-55%. CO2 is kept around 1400 ppm. I had 7 plants in there. 2 white widows have mold inside the big colas. 1 super sour og has mold inside the large cola too. I have 2 pure power plants that still look ok. I already harvested 1 ak-48 and 1 ppp.

Everything looked good. The super sour og was looking crazy. I am heart broken. My next harvest after this isn't gonna be until around the new year.
Condolences.......
