Lighting question..

Are there different types of 400w hps bulbs? Or would I be able to use one from lowes, rather than ordering one online?

that will work fine but you can get more expensive bulbs used for horticulture that will do a better job.
i get mine from home depot and they are the same as lowes just a different brand.

But I will still have good results, eh? I just wanna do it right...but if it's the same thing...i don't see why not. I'll get that when i go to lowes on tuesday. woot.

hps bulbs that are made specifically for horticulture use have enhanced color spectrums... that is why they can be used throughout the entire grow... they are much better suited to use to grow than the ones from lowes/home depot/ ect... now im not saying you cant use the ones from those places.. but if you are looking for the best results spend the extra for the horticulture hps bulbs.. you'll be much happier in the end...

I feel ya...it's just that the closest hydro shop is about 30 miles away. And I don't wanna have to wait for it in the mail.
