i just realized i germinated the regular og fire seeds, and not the c99 female seeds. Got em mixed up. I just threw one of the c99 female seeds in some damp paper towels. I just read up on both strains and they say the og fire is hard to grow for a beginner.

looks well worth it. thats crazy since you said you didnt know anything at first.
Lol I'm far from dumb. I know a lol bit about electronics, and wiring. But yeah got concepts and idea for sure from other sources. A couple of months after I made the veg light I saw these sunboards that resemble eachother alot. I made mine the hard way lol. Cutting and stripping each wire is what took the longest.

If your light has just an on and off switch and not a dimming switch I'd go higher at like 24" maybe even 28" and work your way in as she grows. did your light come with any paperwork or instructions?

How is it the highest it can go in a 4ft tent? Lol

they just say 18-24 inches but their cables arent adjustable. I did buy an apollo pulley strap set. Would that be compatible?

oh damn my humidity is down to 42. I was reading about tiny humidifiers. Cool mist or warm mist?
I live in the desert and humidity here usually around 10%....I freak out when it rains a handful of days in a row because no transpiration occurs and throws off my watering

many strains (especially sativas) do great at low humidity

my veg cabinet stays around 30%-40% which for seedlings works good for me

anything over 50% humidity watch for mold

read thread since my last post and looks like you getting good advice on lighting

thanks. Yea the dessert temps are good for making meth, eh? Lmao but not MJ. I live in the mountains in upstate NY. We get crappy sun here. Nothing but trees. This site is definitely helping me along on everything so far. My temp is 79 and my humidity is now 52. when i switched from led to cfl the temps went from 81 and 48% humidity and when i switched to cfl its what it is now. Not much of a difference.

I grow with temps around 90 with low humidity and a serious fan on a timer

increased transpiration is your friend as plant will have to take up more water while taking up more nutrients making for bigger buds

kinda speeds things up a bit

many places on the planet where some of these strains originate have late day temps much higher than 90 degrees!

like Hawaii, Mexico, Central and South America just to name a few

Shyytt we already hit mid 90s here in N. IL lol. I have 2 outside and they love the weather. It's about 72 in the house 84f around 40%rh in my flower cab. With plenty of air movement. I like them higher temps for sure

thanks for sharing that. I will remember that if my temps get high when i add more light. I'm hoping to get around 200 watts of light in this 2x2. You think thats good for 4 square feet? Or would i be able to have 2 of those 300w blurples without getting too hot in that small of a space.

Running 2 of those 300w for flower would be ideal. I think your temps should be fine. 200w of cobs, strips or a quantum board even 175watts of those would do better than 2 300w blurples

yea well my plan is to see what happens this go around and trust me, if its successfull and the wife sees it then she'll be on board and I can get some legit equipment piece by piece. She's not convinced yet.
