Lets hear the recipe from start to finishguys. Ill go 1st. ok, heres my shatterprocess.
1. Prep and equipment. I have a 1 gallon vacation chamber, a 3 cfm pump, about a 4 oz.stainless steel extraction tube with valves on top and bottom, pyrex dish and us 5X or 7X Honey-Do butane.
2. I usually heat my trim on low temp in oven to completely dry out product. I find if Idont, alot of frozen plant material (which I call "sea sponge) ends up floating in tane after blast and have to fish it out. Heatingtrim slightly takes care of that. Also prepare 1st water bath with 85 to 90 degree water. I tried blasting onto PTFE paper but found I dont really like it. So I still scrape.
3. With both valves open, I run 2 cans of tane until I see sbout a cans worth comesout then shut bottom valve and finish putting in the 2nd can then shut top valve. I then take tube and turn upside down andspin on its side to soak tane in material forabout 3 minutes. Then I put tube back over Pyrex and open bottom valve slightly until air comes out then close. I then proceed to out in another can until empty and then repeat the turning upside down thing. Again open bottom valve until air comes out and thwn run my 4th and final can. So thats 4 cans to 4oz.
4. Once tube is empty, I put pyrex in 90 degree water bath. Once the bubble action slows to stops, I bring inside for 2nd water bath in double broiler over hot plate again maintaining 90 degrees.
5.Once all bubble action. Has came to a halt, I then proceed to scrape. I wipe onto a slick pad and put in the vacuum chamber set to 85-90 degrees. I flipped aprox. every 5-6 hours for at least 3 days .When i feel its done i crank it up to 95 for about an hour or until slick . And i end up with some nice shatter. So thats my shatter recipe . Now looking to make crumble. I wanna hear your guys recipes

I am very curious to hear from people who use bare bones equipment to make there stuff.

  • 3/4 x 6 glass flanged tube.

  • 2x square Pyrex dish

  • Colibri butane

  • Hot water

  • About 7 grams 'airy' semi quality bud. Almost dry.

My 3rd and best attempt. Used about 4/5ths of a 300ml can.

The Pyrex dish was put in freezer hours before I did this. This caused condensation to freezer on inside bottom(even though I had it covered). I'm assuming this resulting in a small amount of water in my BHO, which I'm assuming is why my consistency is much thicker? I dunno. All I know is this batch is easier to handle.

Another change with this attempt was not blasting at full power. Next attempt I will try blasting even slower. I want to get as much yeild as I can per attempt.

No purge. I do not taste butane in it. It tastes almost exactly like my, mostly, dried bud smells.

I don't have any scales but I wpould guess I'm in the 7-12% range

So there was about 1/3 of a can left. I just ran about 1/2 the amount of bud I have been using(1/2 tube) and this time going even slower on the blast.

I put in oven at 170 for about 15 minutes. Consistently is easier to work with now. Also color is more clear.

I welcome all input, critical or otherwise.
