This is my newest vegging and work station (non cannabis) using household LEDs and LED T5's (3014's) Total draw of 60 watts.

A bit primitive but it will get the job done.... :)

The little E27's have a couple of blues, 2 x cool white and a warm white in the center...look at that quality Chinese craftsmanship....

Cree ups the ante again

Benchmark CRI for LEDs target ceramic metal halide lighting

The XLamp CXA1304 and CXA1816, the newest members of the CXA LED family, offer 95 CRI options, delivering up to twice the efficacy of equivalent CRI LED light sources. They deliver halogen-like color and combine high quality light with high light output and efficacy.

The CXA1304 LED array is the most compact member of the family, delivering up to 1034-lm in a 6-mm optical source size. The CXA1816 array enables LED replacements for up to 70-W ceramic metal halide in spot lighting or for 2,000-lm downlights with a 12-mm optical source size. The arrays offer 6,000-h of LM-80 data published and are designed to support TM-21 reported L90 lifetime of over four years, at 105°C. They are available in 5,000K through 2,700K CCTs, and deliver a typical CRI of 95 with a typical R9 value of 85 at 3,000K.

Flip Date to 12/12 was 6/6

First 2 LED tube added 6/19, second 2 on 6/20

So just under 30 days of flower with 92 watts over canopy.

Supplemental light was 2 @ 7 watt SM, then 2 @ 9w Cree, but since 2 weeks ago, one RP 17w Philips + one 22 w RP Utilitech = 39w

2 air stones per bucket Pump is 35 LPM

What is you PH and PPM? What are you using for nutrients?

Welcome to thinking outside the box.

Nutes are Hydroponic Research VEG+BLOOM. It's a one step dry formula. Very pH stable

I mix and if needed adjust pH to 5.7. Almost no drift over 7 days, at which point I dump and make fresh nutes

PPMs depends on where I am in the grow. I start ~ 200ppm , increasing weekly to 500 at flip. This grow I will push to 1000, then back down to 200 for final flush

wow, one step ay? Never heard of them. Website is interesting.

Been growing again now for 4+ years. Always looking for ways to improve while reducing work load. V+B saves a ton of time, and you are not paying for shipping water.

A poster on another grow site asked me about bucket temps and algae...

I have yet to see algae even though the bucket pour spout is not covered

Although I pay close attention to the rez temp in my HOT5 tent, I have not paid much attention to my LED tent, but during flower it's a different story, especially when using barely one gallon nutes in each bucket. Mind you, I just changed nutes Friday...

so I decided to check rez temps in the 2 buckets. Shock, more than half the water/nutes were consumed. And what was left had a 4.9 pH. Good thing I checked! You can imagine, I reped him.

Rez temp not bad 79.8*s, but I started putting frozen btls in them, too.

Morning Photos

I shudder to think what these would have looked like had i not checked rez temps yesterday. a few leafs gave it up, but otherwise, all ahead full

The buckets are too small to add a quart btl of ice, so I decided to take each plant out individually and drop a 1/2g ice btl inside for 4-5 minutes. Will repeat as needed.

Since the plants were more camera accessible, I took photos

Thanks doc

BrandX seeds (new breeder) It's Woody Haze x White Widow pollinated with BG.

In veg the primary leafs are solid Indica, as the plant matures, new leafs are sat, at least that is the case with their mother. I pollinated 3 of her branches and now have ~ 40 seeds.

I commented on this yesterday, but now have new info to add

Babelfish (on another grow site) pointed out the need to check nute temps, which are a byproduct of ambient tent temps.

Twice yesterday I removed the plants and dropped in a 1/2 jug of frozen water for 10 minutes. After doing the same this morning, I began to think more on cooling the ambient temps.

I have a rheostat and some old computer fans, so I went to Lowes and got a 6" (too small but could be serviceable) 90* alum ducting elbow + a vent funnel for the top where the fan will slot. It's not yet hooked up.

I know, it would be best to have the fan at the opening inside the tent, but that might be hard to secure

To keep temps down, I have kept the tent flaps open ~ 15" during lights on; still just under 84*, which is causing the nute temps to rise.

Aiming my circ fan into the far corner, I was able to get temps down to ~ 82*.

Then it dawned on me to make swamp cooler with 4 liter frozen water placed inside my small round Igloo cooler and blow fan air across it.

Front flaps 90% closed (more light for plants), temps already down to 80.1!

Now a zip up away from 100% closed; ambient temp is only 81.1*s

i likey dem snap on led lights pF! too bad he don't have more colours like red and blue. mix and match and making your own pattern and designs! I would make diamonds patterns for my diamond shaped plants, cirucular for my circular shaped plants. I could top and train my plants to my own personal light design. If you had lets say a 4 by 4 tent, and had about.. lets say 800 bucks to spend what would you get PetFlora?

Are you not adding any CO2? Even the Hobo-Grow 2L Bottle would be a good addition, and effective, if you are not...

those clone shots in the wild colors what lights are on it?
I guess you missed the last sentence- those pics are plants under my HOT5 bulbs. Plus, I played with color/contrast program
