Led lighting question

I posted this before ... so forgive the repost .

2 ) 96s spaced 24” apart via Sunblasters . But you can do the same without the lamps I added .
I used channel aluminum, L brackets and cut angle for elites to be mounted to. I purposely mounted the hanging points on the outer corners of the channel pieces to reduce flex . Although a short middle brace could be added if desired. You could mount the driver in the between point also.

The spacing is fine at 24” and still get good overlap from them , as I based space as 2x2 quadrants for each.

Material cost is nominal. The heatsink are pretapped on sides , so it’s a natural fit.

So IF .... I were to build something new for 3x3 I would build a 24” x 24” square version.
With obvious dimming via a remote potentiometer on frame. The passive cooling is quite good but I run at reserved power ( 70% due to plant stress ) so putting the dial to 11 may not be such a good thing. It is STILL surprising that people want to make 1200w QB rigs for enclosed grows. That is absolutely insane and everybody learns very quickly that less is more with these boards.

No need for balls to the wall max with these , however ..... say that same build I described were to hang in a larger tent or open space , then you got the power on tap to play with.

Adding 660 / 630 / 730 etc ..... is nothing new . Flavor of the month kind of . Next will be the UV mixed boards as I have heard. Many manufacturers have played with them years before.

Shit I still use a G8 Deep Red Bloom led I got years ago to add to my regular qb rig. It is ridiculously red and runs at 630 / 660 nm only leds. It adds about a 100 watts and works really well.

Now there are strips , pucks and diy components. I never needed the 730 . Girls go to sleep just fine.

Kick ass setups. Both of em. Plants are loving them for sure. I was watching a video on Migros YouTube channel with dr Bruce Bugsbee of apogee and he was doing research on far red and UV. He was making a case for implementing both but it's always nice seeing results from fellow growers .

I paid like $140 or something for those G8 and am pretty damn happy with them even though they get flack. They are working without issue for over 4 years .

The Agromax bulbs were familiar to me already ( used Superveg bulbs ) so the Pure UV bulb was something that was easy to change into. The 10000k finisher bulb is totally new to me and am not sure how much it will contribute overall.

Got a buddy running all Budmaster lamps with Osram components and they produce well for him and seen the results myself. Way to pricey for me but they work. I got a feeling those elites are gonna get really popular. Hoping HLG will get a 4 pack ( with a good price .... @robincnn ??. ) lol.

At least you researching first ....
