i currently have a 5x7 grow room I built and have 2 led lights a 1500 watt full spectrum and a 300 watt full spectrum. I’m wanting to get one more light and wondering if I should get another full spectrum or can I get a different led light. What do you suggest?

I do have a 1000watt hps light setup but I put it away and went with leds for less energy and heat. You are correct I have a 1500 watt bestva led light and a 300 watt mars hydro light and they do use less energy then what they say they are. So are you telling me I won’t grow anything with my current setup? I thought I’d just add 1 more led light and should be good.

Then you need to start referring to them by their actual wattage. It's a fucking joke that they refer to a 280 watt panel as being 1500 watts. And it's an even bigger joke that they claim that light will match a 1000. It won't even come close.

You're dealing with 35 square feet, and like the poster above me said, that's 11 watts per square foot, which is very under powered. With the inefficient panels you're using, you need to be closer to 40 to 50 watts per square foot. Efficient LEDs let you get away with 30 to 35.

Ditch those shitty LEDs you bought, and start running your HID again.

I have the 900w led from Meizhi. It’s draws just over 400 actual watts. My tent is 4x4x7 ft. I get about 25watts/square ft and my plants seem pretty strong for a first grow. I think to up wattage for my next grow I will get 4 led bulbs for the sides just for a boost. As long as it lasts, knock on wood, she will produce some good frosty buds I think! I’m in week 8 since switch. I can only imagine what they would look like with 35+ watts/ square ft!

Or ride the COB train .... they are still a viable option other than HID or led boards .
They are getting a bit cheaper. Enough so they there is a 4 cob rig ( Citizen cobs ) with a meanwell driver pushing 240w ( actual ) ready to hang with lenses for 179.00 ( and free ship ).

Perfect for leaving blurple in the past.

Ok thanks guys. I might buy myself a better led light then. I said my room is a 5x7 but actually only using 5x5 section so that brings me to almost 15 watts a sq ft. Right now. so looks like I need to find a 400 actual watt light to bring me close to 800 watts For the room

A quality led light will be well worth it, if you can afford it in the long run. In other words... not made in CHINA. Mine is made in China lol not among the cheaper production line though (I hope!) I spent a couple extra bucks to buy above the low end shit out there. Research all the specs too! GL

I just sucked it up and made the switch from HID to led. A little over 2500 later I have top notch cobs coming for veg and bloom but it’s money well spent. I wasn’t going to mess with wiring and have limited motion in both wrists so DIY was out of the picture for me.
