Leaf Spotting 4.5 Weeks Into Flowering

that first picture looked well kinda like iron def.
I'm guessing they're low on N from the early flush is all. Gave them a little bump of organics but the fruits are nearly finished and I'm not going to worry too much about it.

My latest obsession.... Subcool's Supersoil.

Thats a good amount for those plants, when it is dry you can let me know how the smoke is. Over fert bud dosent smell unless handled and take much longer to dry fyi.

So far the smoke report is very good. Dried in about 5 days for the first two plants. The rest will come down as time allows.

Looks good. I don't know if this is the truth, but I have read that the powdered lime takes awhile to work. Just saw you added it towards the end of their life. I praise your effort towards those girls, you've really put in the work needed. Enjoy the fruits of your labor my friend.

Thanks man! This thread actually started a grow before the one I'm harvesting, I've just been using this thread continuously. I really need to start a journal thread. The lime does take a while to work for sure. I got some that has finer granules and I mix it with my potting mix. Puff puff!

Looking back at the whole thread i would think that the plants were underfed, phosphorous potassium and cal mag showing through in the leaves, my bottom leaves have just started to yellow and drop 3/4 weeks into flowering and a good bloom ferts with good p/k is helping a lot, i also seem to be adding a small dash of epsom salts to the water just in case. Being quite scared of overfertilizing has led me to fertilizing just a small bit most waterings. The top leaves are starting to yellow a bit but think the ferts is keeping it from spreading. Maybe i should get bigger pots or flower earlier to avoid this. This thread has been very usefull for my present grow.

Early in the thread my issue was PH lockout. This thread really consisted of two separate issues from two separate grows. I just went back to it with my second issue since I had some great people helping me out which is confusing the flow of the thread a bit. I ended up overfeeding my plants early in flower this time, hence the flush and re-establishment of my nute base. New chemical ferts and my TDS meter had a learning curve for me. I was feeding with too high of PPM with organics still in the soil.

I'm glad it seems to be helping out with your grow Kingrow. Hopefully I am learning something from it too! LOL I know one mistake I am making is flowering too late and transplanting at the initiation of flower. I have a bottleneck in my flower box that is forcing me to veg my plants longer than I'd like to. I have def learned the importance of monitoring the PH of my runoff and calibrating my PH pens regularly as well as making sure the plants are receiving cal and mag to keep metabolism moving. You can give the plants all of the macros in your nute bin but they can't take it up without cal and mag. Now I know FFOF is light on them even before the organics are depleted from the soil. I won't be using FFOF anymore, I'm currently using happy frog for the time being. Hoping to make some supersoil and try a few completely organic.

I've realized I don't have the time to monitor feedings for flowering plants in a perpetual garden. Its too much work (for me) mixing different ratios and nute strengths to accommodate the various plants at different stages of their flowering cycle. I'm trying to find the feedings that suit my time schedule and I don't think I can beat just giving them water! :D

Okay dude, I have a diagnosis: Fox Farm nutrients are 100% Pure Garbage! While they grow some mean tomatoes, and award winning roses, champion cannabis plants they do not make.

Next problem, and probably a bigger problem, pH. You should always call up your fertilizer company and ask questions about the pH for their product. The FFOF is a soiless mix with solid fertilizers added! That means you want a constant pH of 5.9-6.3. Throw that fucking feeding chart in the garbage. I remember when I tried using the line up with that chart and everything went to shit, I think whoever made that chart was fucking drunk!

The reason you got the best results your first round is because you didn't use the Fox Farm, I swear to god they are the problem, I am the Official Fox Farm Hater here on RIU. I have used their product, and even giving them the benefit of the doubt, tried several grows with them, even using them on another gardener's plants, which failed, while I ROCKED OUT with Flora Nova. Since then I've tried other fertilizers like TechnaFlora, and my new favorite, House & Garden (glory!!) and they all put Fox Farm to pathetic shame. It is a half-assed nutrient line up that promises a lot and advertises heavily to the new grower market, and attracts our attention with vibrant packaging, which we pay extra for, btw.

Another problem was transplanting the day of flower, that is a horticulture taboo, and a jinx in your garden. Always give them at least 1-2 weeks after transplant before switching the photoperiod.

It sucks you added dolomite lime, now you will be constantly chasing the pH down, unless you can get it to chill at 6.3. You can always call the Fox Farm hotline for advise, sometimes they are sober enough to give it to you. The soil is good, the flower booster trio pack is good, the "organic" (LOL!!) liquid fertilizer can suck my balls! FFOF can cause problems and I have gotten bugs out of it, but I think Happy Frog is the greatest thing they have ever done for the growing community, it provides a excellent variety of microscopic life that makes me and my plants happy.

Those few pictures of your plants are beautiful btw, I can't believe that is under a 600w, it looks great though. Try getting them closer together, direct light hitting the floor is like throwing perfectly good food in the garbage, just a terrible waste.

Dude, you have too good of a set up and are too smart to be stuck with Fox Farm, try and get a donation from a local dispensary to raise the funds for a new fertilizer line up. House & Garden dude, you will never regret it.
pro mix is by far the best soil. try it

This is a very old thread! Thanks for the suggestion, I actually did use a bit of pro mix in my latest super soil mix :D 50/50 mix with roots organic and a shitload of other additives, I love that shit.
