My buddy says this is what he uses:

Part A 3.6 Grams per Gallon
Part B 2.4 Grams per Gallon
Epsom Salt 1.2 Grams per Gallon

Does that sound like a good place to be? He said his mix is usually just under 1000 PPM.

I wouldn't give full strength to seedlings or small plants. Always start out at 25% and work your way up in increments to full strength as the plant grows and it's requirements increase. You'll burn the shit out of small plants or seedlings at full strength of any fertilizer. No rocket science. Just start out light and work your way up.

This is incorrect. With Jacks I've found through trial and error that I must run it full strength to avoid any issues. I feel all my plants the same EC, whether flowering, veg, seedlings, or newly rooted cuts. Check my signature if you want to see a timeline of this.

3.6G jacks, 2.4G Cal-Nit, 1.2G Epsom. For the win.

Here's some photos of my garden I took yesterday. All plants are being fed full strength Jacks 321 with Mammoth P & Orca at .6ML/gal, and Fulvic at .4G/Gal.

As you can see no burn on any of the plants. The veggining clones in the second picture looked like the ones on the right just 2 weeks ago, fresh out of the aerocloner. But yeah man, when running jacks run full strength or you'll have issues with certain elements not being enough of the total EC when running it below full strength.

I'm running the 10-30-20 bloom at 800 PPM (including 4 ml gallon Cal/mag, with my tap water of 100 PPM) so far everybody loves it

Are those of you that are using either 5-12-26(jack's) or 5-11-26(peter's) running this straight from seed to finish?
No halfing nutes and running pk/bloom boosters or anything?

Could be from a difference in watering frequencies. How often do the people that are running full strength water? At 1000 ppms watering 5 times a day with 321, lower leaves would fall off on their own. When I would decrease nutrient strength problem would stop

Your seedlings are all burned at the leaf tips because you are feeding too many PPM's for that stage of growth. Your clones are taking it much better and your large plants are beautiful. I understand it makes watering much easier, but please don't kid yourself into believing that you aren't burning the shit out of your seedlings. I have planted seeds in Fox Farm's Ocean Forest which is a very hot soil mix. Everybody advised me against it, but I planted them anyways. They were burned for the first few weeks, but then grew out of it. It largely did not effect my vegetative growth, but I did acknowledge I burned them and there was probably a better way to handle things in the future.

Where do you see tip burn on the seedlings? The Crescendo clones have yellowing from being in the aerocloner. The seedlings(MBxSF) have zero burn. Nothing has nutrient burn in that picture man.

I’m not trying to fight with you but you’re wrong here bud.

@jonnynobody I'd also like to point out that pre-amended soil like FFOF is a lot different that hydroponics where plants are started in an inert media like coco, ton, or rockwool. Feeding full strength jacks 321 with an inert media is not the same as planting seedlings in a hot soil mix from the beginning of life.

Like I said in my reply, I think you are confusing the Crescendo clones (that were in the aero cloner) for the seedlings. There are 9 crescendo clones and 5 seedlings in the picture I posted and none of them are 'burnt".

In regards to growing with FFOF, when I did soil grows I primarily used FFOF and Roots (both pre-amended soils). I'd usually mix in perlite and some happy frog in with the FFOF to lighten up the soil a bit. Once the plants were a few weeks old and ready to transplant I'd uppot them into straight FFOF or FFOF w/ perlite.

Lastly, to answer your question from before - @Greengenes707 uses tap water with Jacks 321. Look up his IG or YT page to reference.

Go listen to the Jungle Boys who mass produce at the commercial level, they never change their feed schedule, every plant at every age get's the same food. I have not tried this personally but have heard a lot of people using this method lately.

i wonder what ppm they decided on to run from start to finish 700 -800ppm maybe ?
