We had some doozies at one of the houses. The kids would be outside jumping up and down on the top of their cars. My kids never would have done such a thing, they would have known I would bust their asses for it.

I hate rental houses. My neighborhood used to be filled with sweet polite elderly people, now they've slowly been dying and the houses are being sold and turned into rentals. I want to live in the country with no neighbors. The heinous kids are the worst. Remember back in the day when parents used to pay attention to their kids and actually tell them "no you can't do that. "
You've described me to a tee. I hope I won't be dying soon, but at this age, one never knows, here today gone tomorrow. Yes, this was a nice middle class neighborhood when I moved here 20 years ago, We used to speak and on 4th of july have fireworks in the middle of the street,(Cul-de-sac), I still speak to my new neighbor on the east, but the ones on the west are assholes. They replaced a long time friend and neighbor who had to move due to divorce. The ones two doors down are latinos and I'm friendly with them, accross the street I know two neighbors, both OK but the ones directly accross have never spoken to, new also. As far as I know, There are only two on the street that have been here as long as I, Myself and one other, the rest are newbies, mostly in the last 5 years.

Geeze VI, I hate to always be correcting you but the saying is: "few and far between".
Well thanks for the correction, Med. Your genius is always welcome.

I would have much preferred that you addressed my statement that you wouldn't last in the real estate business more than a few days though.

There are good renters, but they never seem to live near me. For some reason my neighborhood always gets the people who don't have any idea what their kids are up to and it doesn't seem like they care either.

I totally agree with misshester, I have never had good neighbors who were renters. Maybe a good one on one side but then the other side is so bad it makes up for the good one. I lived next to some " hippies" when I first bought this house 15 years ago and the worst they ever did was play drums outside and smoke and they got evicted and the land sold to habitat for humanity. which sounds fine until you realize that they crowd 8 families onto 2 lots and then they don't know how to be good neighbors their yards look like dump yards and they all have 3 broken down cars and yes the KIDS!!!!!! They have more every year so they don't have to get a job just collect more welfare for the 8 little ones. Which are over here bugging me, so now they all think I am a mean evil Vile beast who eats kids. ahahahahahahahaha I just don'twant the kids to grow up and realize what that smell is coming from my house.

It's called "equal opportunity" -- Also, white collar doesn't mean "innocent" -- Anyone is capable of committing a crime, go take a look in the mirror before your next harvest.

I don't consider marijuana to be a crime. If I grow for my own use I'm not hurting anyone. I'm not stealing from anyone. I'm certainly not killing anyone. I'm not selling any.

Marijuana laws make criminals out of law abiding citizens.

Growtech, that's racist as hell, this isn't craigslist rants and raves you know...........

They must've missed you.

Oh, the picture I took off Google images search for "latino hate crimes" is racist as hell? Go figure I would get bashed posting an image of a racist group in response to the text "you guess it..... latinos" in medicinemans post. I didn't assemble the image, and I also didn't blame latinos for crime in my neighborhood - I'm not some ignorant scumbag.

By the way, my stepdad is you guessed it... a latino.

I don't think he's EVER committed a crime, which is more than I can say about any of you...

You must have done that on your own. If you look at my origional post only the word marijuana hyperlinks, because it's part of the riu platform. Type the word marijuana in a post and see for your self. duh.......

I'm gonna stand up for the few and far between or was the the far and few between responsible renters cuz I am one. I used to live in the country too. Too divorce. Sounds like an all to common reality. But with housing prices continuing to crash, I expect that I should not be chasing too hard to buy just quite yet. When? thats a good question? But in the meantime, I will continue to be a responsible renter, cuz....I have to.

I hear you Tahoe. We're in that group too.. In the country here though, we have two neighbors on ajoining land who also rent.. one family with 3 kids, the other a married couple with their older son. All great people.. our landlords were very specific in ads though- couples only. They didn't want any party house renters. LOL.. Used to live in a trailer park right outside Chicago when I was a teenager though- MUCH MUCH different situation there, police around ALL THE DAMN TIME.

It's happening everywhere with this economy though.. even out here in the boondocks we had to start locking doors and cars.. theft on the rise over the past few months. =(
