Is my blue rhino a male?

a lil hard to say for sure, but i am almost positive that it is indeed a dude.. its just a lil hard to tell if that looks round like a male preflower, or if its just an immature female preflower, but im leaning more towards a male..

Too early yet. My one sativa looked like that and I was ready to chop it. I left it go for a couple days and two little Y shaped hairs came out of that spot you pictured there! Hold on until you can positively ID the plant. Pollen doesn't just pop out as soon as male pre-flowers start, so there is no harm in holding onto that plant until you are certain. Good luck!

racerboy, thank you for the quick response.

The pre flowers are TINY rite now... They started off small with no stick...but now it looks as if it developed the stick and the balls are starting to grow.

Im going to keep the plant for one more day and take a look tomorrow.

This is my 1st grow, my other blue rhino already showed sex(female =D ).

Its weird because I thought males show sex 1st, but obviously not always.

Check out my grow if you get a chance guys. Links in the sig

thanks!

EDIT: geddy, ill take your word for it and keep the plant around for 1-3 more days most likely. the sex should be evident after that. Thanks

yah, geddy is right about pollen not coming out for awhile.. i just had one of my heri's come out male.. and i was thinking of trying to collect some pollen, and it was left for a lil over two weeks before i changed my mind... it was getting pretty close though.. you will see the pollen sacs come out on a lil string thingy when they are ready to blow though..
if you have the room, males are fun to play around with.. they make great science projects so to speak.. you can always try all kinds of crazy sh*t on them and not have to worry about killing them.. you can starve them, over or under water them, see how much nutes they can take, practice lst of topping or supercropping with, or any other twisted ideas you have always thought about but never wanted to kill a healthy female trying them out on..

If they were regular seeds id say chances are its male and throw it at my neighbours cat immediatley , if they were feminised seeds prob just a undeveloped pod, best bet is to wait it out a few days as others have already stated.

I agree but I think it's a male. I have a few of those in my garden but I'm wating for more definition to pull em.

Here are some good shots of what male and females look like. I didn't grow these but they are a perfect illustration. The 1st two are female and the 2nd two are male.

Yep, I agree with those guys above. It l;ooks like it will likely be a male, but as was mentioned, some preflowers are really hard to tell. I also had a sativa that turned out to be female, after i was fairly convinced it was going to be a male. Wait a few more days and you'll know for sure. :)
