Lots to read. for me it was trial and error before ever reading anything . My first tea was using budswel from the gauno company. Then after that I started using the earth juice rainbow mix. Then I started reading and watching everything from Dr. Elaine Ingram. Then I learned topdressing worked better nute wise and I didn't want to do guano teas anymore but just do compost teas. I picked up some ancient forest. Later started using ecoscraps (cheaper) later learned ancient forest is just peat moss and a rip off.. I played with different types of molasses. Eventually I settled using brer rabbit brand. Then I read microbe mans stuff. I didn't entirely agree with everything he says. He is more of a sales man. But has a few good points. Then later foud the book teaming with microbes. Its a must have. I have read it a few times You can download it as torrent for free off kickass.to. After getting involved recycled living organics after reading Cann's thread before the rols thread was made by Headtreep. There I learned about seed sprout teas and recipes by Cootz. He was on ic rag but then they all started the seeddepot forums. Which that forum hasn't seem to work lately. They are in the organic section there. Making your own castings and compost ie vermicompost . which will give you better results in teas and topdressing than any store bought.

then with sst (seed sprout teas). headtreep posted he uses mung beans. so I tried it and it worked. I found that mung beans have a lot of potassium / sugars and iron and calcium. plus small amounts of nitrogen, phos, magnesium, magnanese, zinc, copper, sulfur. the nutrient recipe I use is actually Cootz's recipe

1 cu ft peat moss
1 cu ft vermicompost
1/2 cu ft pumice

1/2 cup crabmeal
1/2 cup neem meal
1/2 cup kelp meal
4 cups of rock dust (glacial or basalt) if using soft rock phosphate 1 cup

I learned of the various uses of aloe there too.

I was talking about how much work hydo is. There is alot to know and learn on both sides. The living organics side is sooooo much less work. I did hydro aero kits for years before switching to soil. So I know what it takes on both sides. I wouldn't go back to hydro ever

no . what makes living organics is the second round of reusing soil after a grow. Instead of dumping the soil. Topdressing with vermicompost and watering with tea's for a few weeks before planting the next plant in there. Basically creating an ecosystem of microbes beneath the soil surface prior to adding a plant.

I also followed coots/the usual suspects:) on the other site, wealth of info and took organics to another level. Was a synthetic guy, so dismissed most of it, lol......still use synthetics at work(as you know) for the customers who wan't "quick results", and it delivers as designed. But things are shifting towards organics more/more at the residential level.

Hey Hyroot look who get's his own soil "kit"!!!!:hump:

http://buildasoil.com/products/the-clackamas-kit
.......yikes, I don't think coots would approve of the price.

Still can't leave my soil un-tilled!! ............it's a forced habit I can't shake, love to restructure my soil:)

^^^^^ that's funny. Its kind of like the premixed super soil mix. Sub has nothing to do with that

Bwahahaha!!! Please tell me what's in it...micros, macros, or both?! As I journey along my growing successes and failures, I get simpler and simpler. Hyroots stolen recipes, and occasional tea regimen is pretty much where I'm at. No till is like marriage if you think about it...that love ain't as good and hot as the first day. Mix on Psu. Maybe you could just till the top couple inches.

EDIT: Hy, do you notice any differences with fine wine soil? Less pests, more yield, etc.

I tried it on 5 plants and I have another 2 oz. bottle. I'm not sure if I like it or not. From my experience plants water and feed less = smaller yield and smaller buds. Water and feed more = larger yield and larger buds. Chaz said he has seen higher yields with it.... Of course there could be several other factors in those yields too.

the esc treatment biodegrades in 60 days though. Darryl told me not to use it with 60 days of harvest. I used it at day 12 of flower. oh well live and learn. It may be good for vegging with small pots so you don't have to water as much.

Fantastic!

660s? Being short wave, I would not think they have enough 'penetration' that far apart. Please enlighten

Correct.......R/DR have less "push" than B, but these pontoons are just an "enhancement" to the 4000k? induction-bulb. It already has enough 620-640nm but tends to drop off rapidly around 650-660nm I think................we need chaz:p

Help me decide. I'm grabbing new strains very soon. So tga or bodhi?

tga - jillybean, conspiracy kush, time wreck

bodhi - blood orange, headtrip , snow lotus (or kogi og if it gets in stock).

My Bodhi BO and Sunshine Daydream are both doing great! They're handling my 860w, 12/12fs, 1st gen coco mix, very low humidity, gnats, mites, and shitty grow bags like it's ideal. Couldn't imagine the vigor in stress free conditions. Can't wait 10 more weeks. I've had TGA's Agent Orange and Jilly that were both top notch A+++. Tough call, but this Bodhi is exploding for me and hear nothing but great things.

All this OG talk is making me feel like I am missing out or something!

Have you ever grown Oh God or any other strain from Jordan that has some OG lineage? I have grown and enjoyed Oh God but I dont think it's in his line up anymore ... I think it was OG Kush x God bud. Anyway ... I am tempted to order his version of OG Kush,...

Otherwise, what are your favourite OG strain? What's so special about them? I have never grown the real deal and I know I have smoked some here and there, but the only OG kush I have seen was grown on a big scale and wasnt anything great. Seeing that you grow mostly OGs makes me think there has to be something really special about them since you have grown many TGAs as well and dont see many in your line up right now.

Nice to see you have everything up and running again ... not sure I love the lights though!! HAHA just kidding! are you thinking of going back to LEDs or you are sold on induction lighting? It looks like there is quite a bit of shade on the edges?
