Thank you.... Im sure most of my questions make people laugh but im new 
i have 140 watts in a 5 sqft room would a 400watt be too much? if so I can hang it higher.... right now the 140 watt is about 1 foot above the plants but the plants are growing at different hights... im not sure why.
food or water or pot size or different strans
and also does the size of the pot for the roots limit the plants growth?

pot size can restrain growth, general rule 1 gallon for each foot of height.
As long as you can control the heat a 400 watt would be ideal size for that room.

You need more light. You'd be better off getting a good 400 -600 watt light or getting a bunch of cfls for your next grow. Your nodes are very far apart and that's where the buds form you want them to be tight as possible which means more lights.
I know im a noobie but what are nodes? and I think all of my plants are female but im not sure
so that is why they seem to be "stretching" for light?

yeah, leaves stretching for the light is called positive photo tropism. They're just stretching like that to make the most out of the light they're receiving. If you get a 400 watt light, make sure it's sealed, and your gonna need a blower too. Otherwise your gonna have head issues in that small space. But if your just growing in a small open area of a big room then you might not need to cool your lamp.
