Got an email from the IDPH yesterday (day 91).

“Your patient registry card has been approved and sent to printing, you should have it within 10-14 days”

Out of the blue.

Paid and submitted online, June 20.

Day 92, no card.
I’ve repeatedly asked them if I would get an email confirmation for approval and they say no they never do that only send you a letter via mail. I don’t understand all the conflicting information they seem to give out

There is a ton of conflicting information. The email was in response to an email I sent last week. On September 12 I asked them for any sort of update at all through e-mail, and I got no response... yesterday afternoon I get an e-mail back saying the shit is out for printing. There is no consistency whatsoever.

I emailed them last Sunday and hadn’t heard anything from them yet so hopefully they will do the same for me. They charged my CC on June 18th so they have to be getting close to mine if they already did yours and others after me

Called yesterday on day 90 to the state saying paperwork was still not recieved. After a little digging i got copies of my physician cert.

Long story short i woke up to a voicemail from IDPH saying 1 to 2 weeks in the mail. im approved.

Just had my last doctors appointment today, and said my application will be submitted today! The countdown begins!!!

Update: CC was just charged, so maybe my app was submitted sooner, but my doctor said it could be submitted until this last visit. Said 8-12 weeks, and hopefully things will move soon w/o the fingerprint and BG Check. Will update when I can!

I was told that I was approved yesterday and sent off to print. CC charged 6/18. Hopefully some more approvals start coming in for people.

How’d you get away with no fingerprint or BG check? It was a must have for me.

I had my appointments June 14/15 through innovative express care. Card charged 6/22. Still no card or any word from them. I saw someone else on here who went to the same place the week after me and they already have their card! (Lucky you!) so clearly it isn't only in submission order. Will keep you posted on any updates I get!

I'm fairly new here, only day 51 but who's counting? I wrote a personal check for the reduced application along with my DD-214. Too bad I had already gone and got the background check that is no longer required but oh-well. My dispensary told me to pay by check and keep an eye on when it clears. When it clears, they are working on the application and then it's a short wait. I figure at the present application flow rate I'm looking at November 15th. The check ought to clear by the last week of October for that to happen. I'll let you know when the check clears and when the card comes.

(Public Act 100-1114) became effective. While certain provisions can be implemented immediately, there is significant work which must be completed before the program starts. The Act requires IDPH and the other agencies involved in the program to adopt emergency administrative rules by December 1, 2018. IDPH will also have to make changes in the registration process to implement the Opioid Alternative Pilot Program. The provisions of P.A. 100-1114 which became effective immediately are:

  • Patients and Designated Caregivers applying for a Medical Cannabis registry card do not need to submit fingerprints or consent to a background check as part of their application.
  • No business or person may charge patients for help filling out applications. If a patient needs help with the application process, they visit a participating local health department for free help. Many medical cannabis dispensaries can also help a patient fill out the application at no charge.
  • Certifying physicians are required to have a relationship with the patient established at a physician’s office, hospital, or other healthcare facility and the physician must have an ongoing responsibility for the patient’s assessment, care, and treatment.
Please watch this webpage or check the Statewide Medical Cannabis Program website www.mcpp.illinois.gov regularly for program updates as we work to implement this new initiative.

Please do not send any documents for the Opioid Alternative Pilot Program to the Department at this time. Do not use the current application to submit your registration for a registry card unless you are applying for the current Medical Cannabis Registry Program.

We do not offer onsite assistance, but we are able to answer your questions or process your requests via email at: [email protected].

Medical Cannabis Program representatives are available by phone at 1-855-636-3688 Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

This is what they just put up on their website

So I submitted all my required documents (along with two additional residency proof forms in addition) via the online system. It is telling me now I cannot start a new application due to the license I hold (no I don’t hold any other ones) so that could be a good sign.

I am a Social Worker and have a lot of experience working state forms. Also, a close relative is a lawyer and he looked everything over.

Still being told the wait fees are 90 days but we will see if the online stuff is any quicker. I have also been making some videos so I will get the links up.

It’s so important we do our research and vote guys and girls. Not just for us cannabis patients. People are homeless and dying on the streets due to lack of funding.

Also, remember the state worker is overworked and underplayed. Its not his or her fault for the backlog. Rauner has been hindering the implementation of this program from the get go and it still exists. Once he is gone, things will improve quickly. So important.

And them democrats did nothing for 15 years. Under Rauner life has significantly improved for me in Illinois.

Have you seen the commercials for thus pritzger guy? They are abhorrent. A bumbling fool that doesnt look like he could hold a job anywhere at all.

Give rauner 4 more years, I believe he is just getting the hang of things. Im a honest. man trying to make it on my own in Illinois, please dont make this harder for me.
