Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

I called today and was told I'm still processing. Submitted 6/15, card charged 6/18. I asked if something was missing from my app. They told me no and that everything looks good. I asked if they could give me any time frame and they said they can't. I then said I'm over 90 days and they asked if I could hold. They came back and said its at the Secretary of State waiting for an approval and that's all the info they can give me. Hope this will help some people with a timeline and congrats to those who have got cards recently.
My card was charged the same day and they’ve been telling me since August 29th that I’m at the final step waiting for approval at the Secretary of State.

Hey all. I finally received my card in the mail today, 09/17.

My timeline:

2 appointments with Innovative Express Care in Chicago June 20 & 21.

Application was submitted and CC charged 6/26.

Hopefully all you June folks will be resolved soon. Best of luck to you all.
Nice. Let us know how the dispensary visit goes. Thanks for the update and congratulations. Hopefully you made it to the dispensary before they closed so you can medicate tonight.

No idea what's going on. There's a few of us that submitted around the same time just stuck at the Secretary of State and not going anywhere. I have seen some approvals of people who applied after us so hopefully it will be soon. It sucks but there's nothing we can do but keep waiting and hope it comes tomorrow.

As luck would have it, I had to travel out of state this week, so won’t be able to hit the dispensary until the weekend. But man, am I glad this is finally over. What a long 3 months.

Called again today, older female says it is still at Sec. of State and hangs up on me. I call a few departments at Sec. of State and they all say the Sec. of State is not involved in any part of the medical marijuana card process. If anyone calls today can you ask what they mean by it being at Sec. of State? If not I will ask when I call tomorrow.

AMAZING NEWS: I was for sure approved. I was told today by one med department reps. It was then sent off to printing sometime last week.

Bad news: they print the cards in the Carolinas, so could potentially take longer.

Also to those calling the state and then the Secretary of State, calm down. The process takes forever and being a dick on the phone won’t get you anywhere. There are now over 135 pages of people posting on here, go back and read a number of them for the info you need.

Yes, so going back and reading the threads I see a person who went to the same clinic I went to. Their cc was charged six days after mine but yet they have card in hand. When I got back and look I try to find situations that are apples to apples. Also the thread previously mentioned cards are printed in Pennsylvania, maybe that is incorrect. Also I have a condition that certain strains help with that are not available on the street. Also I am in the job market which is another pressing issue. Congratulations on your card.

Spoke to a manager today over the phone. She said they have received my application and that it will be processed in the order it was received.. I asked her about 15 different questions and she just continued to repeat the same thing and said “we DO NOT give out statuses on applications to anyone, despite what you hear or read. Everyone is told the same thing unless there is an issue with your application. Otherwise you need to wait, as it is processed in the order it is received”

Paid and submitted online 6/20

No card, day 90

Not sure if you guys knew, but IDPH shut down their website for 5-6 days, when the new law passed, so that backed things up. As well as the flood of new adpplications since there isn’t a background check!

Just keep that in mind if your wondering why things are taking so long. And if your upset, smoke a J and relax hahaha

I’m a new patient. I got all my paperwork done and sent in with help from the dispensary I will be using on 8/24/18. It is 9/19/18 still have not cashed the check or given me any information whatsoever. Friday of this week I will be 28 days in. I know I’m supposed to expect 90-100 days. I still think that is absolutely ridiculous, it takes them less time to destroy families. I don’t know the hang up really. It’s financially beneficial to the state. I would think they would want that money ASAP.

Still at Sec. of State per call today.
Every time I try to call it doesn’t let me through? What number is everyone calling to talk to Someone I submitted end of June and I’m trying to see how much longer I have left I feel like I should be getting close? At least I hope. This wait is absolutely ridiculous considering we are all in pain and need.

Got an email from the IDPH yesterday (day 91).

“Your patient registry card has been approved and sent to printing, you should have it within 10-14 days”

Out of the blue.

Paid and submitted online, June 20.

Day 92, no card.
