It puts out 860 watts of heat .....either way no closer than a foot w bare bulb and I like the fan idea in the center pointing up. Gonna need to keep the bulb low and put the plants around it so not to lose to much light upwards or use a cheap umbrella type vert reflector.

you want peat moss.. its full of bene bacteria.

for cal / mag,
Kelp Meal has calcium, iron, nitrogen, potassium, zinc, sulfur, magnanese, amino acids. It's also a nutrient accumulator.
Crab Meal has nitrogen, phos, magnesium, calcium, chitin.
neem Meal has nitrogen, potassium, phos, zinc, sulfur, calcium, magnesium, magnanese, iron, azadirachtin.


Cocola said the dna 900 seems to put out the same heat as a 600 hps. You know number of watts doesn't really equate to to specific temp.. C'mon led'er / special cfl-er

My worm bin is in the closet of the flower room.

I spend more time on this side of the freeway too. Funny thing is I brought the led heads to Organics. The organic heads to led and cmh, (rrog and red helped).

We are an EARTH so amps x volts ==== WATTS.............300w of (true) led= 300w hid= 300w fluoro== 300w plasma= 300w induction=== etc. they will raise the AMBIENT room temps EQUALLY..............just because coccocola says so doesn't mean it is so. Direct heat vers indirect is still heat bro can't ignore the laws of thermodynamics now brother hyroot. You know I've used every indoor tech except mh/sulfur plasma.....that may be next for my crappy test room.

^^^^^^600 watts of led is much cooler than 600 watts of hps... you're telling me the af600's (595 watts) run the same temp as a 600 watt hps... 330 allstarts are around the same temp as 250 watt hps. you and I both know that one... so.... I told psuagro to leave you a trail of bread crumbs to follow... lol

Leaving it outside depends on temp. If its too cold they will freeze and die. If its too hot they will die. In the 70's is what you want them to be at... If they are outside the worms tend to jump ship..

Even a compost bin can freeze over the winter. Even with socal weather.. then its no good.

A WATT IS A WATT!!!!!!!.....lol. yes the area 51 af600(595w) will raise the room temps exactly the same as a 595w hid......600w hps with mag ballast will be 40-50w hotter than that led panel. The heat is spread out over the led panel(heatsinks/drivers/mcpb/leds/etc.) same with T5 fixtures, where as the hid system throws most of heat from the bulb=== 600w of power in an 10 inch long bulb concentrates the heat and makes your mind think it's hotter than the 600w led panel......do you get it now??? made it nice and simple for you^^......ha

Another one^^ A "ton" cooler huh, actually it's 100w less heat, that's it!.........now your comparing human abilities and horsepower to watts??lol, many different factors are involved in your comparisons.

Doesn't change the FACT that a watt is a watt........EFFICIENCY ASIDE.........they are around the same heat level.

IF you take a TRUE 150w CFL bulb and put in a 2x2x2 and a 150w HPS bulb and put it in a different 2x2x2 room===== the AMBIENT heat level will be the same!!!!!

Hyroot's 1000w toaster oven being waaay hotter than his 1000w HPS is due to design purposes!! can his toaster oven light a 5x5 grow area and produce buds??? no because it's using all its 1000watts to TOAST things. got it???

I'd hate to change the white man can't jump debate, but I have a very cereal question mmmmkay. I got my replacement 860w CMH yesterday and just opened. There's just a little loose quarts floating around (prob an 1/8th less than first bulb), BUT there's a little black ball floating around in the middle core doohickey. It looks like May 11. I'll post pics later.

For the tenth time yes its normal^^ ......are you looking for a flawless CMH bulb? Lol

If it fires up!..........use it, catastrophic failure will only happen in the first 100 hrs usually......if not it should go the distance

Im just saying you cant compare watts vs heatout with too many variables, cfl, hid, led, hps, mh, cmh, incandant, I understand 1000 watts is 1000watts but the heat output is different between each device because they all run differently and have different technology. I could knock down my cool tube to 300 watts and it would still put out nore heat than my 500watt cfl, why ia this? Well becauae of many things the main reason is that big as bulb puts off alot of lifht and heat, the cfls put off less light and less heat due to design and them simply being cfls, would you happen to have a heat gun? Measure your 125 watt hid light then your cfl? Ill put money on the hid.

Stubborn^^.......have you seen a150w cfl? Their gigantic compared to a 150w hps bulb......guess which will be hotter, no shit its the hid ......smaller lower wattage point of light (cfl) will seem cooler than one large high wattage light point, but if the wattage is equal the Ambient room temps will be also...........this is not my own theory its just a fact bro.......sorry you don't understand
