How to stop debt collectors from calling my cell phone?

I'm really irritated right now.

Every fucking day, a damn agency is calling my
phone for some other woman trying to collect

debt. I've called back 4 times telling them to take my
number off of their calling list.

Today, I called back really pissed off and told them
this is the fourth time I've called telling them

to take my number off of their list, and they still fucking
call me.

Does anyone know how to get these calls to stop?

They call for some woman named "Loriam" and another
agency is calling for someone named William.

I'm getting really irritated. I have a friends and family
plan and phone calls I receive that I don't have on

my plan use up my anytime minutes. I'm very annoyed.

Don't answer if you don't know the number. Can be kind of a pain I guess. Almost everyone that calls me is already in my phone though.

tell them if they call you one more time you will report them to the FTC and the FCC for harassment and ask if they know the fine is $1500 per incident. Or the easiest is to program that number into your phone and not answer it when you see them calling.

Its so annoying because its the SAME company calling
from several different numbers, so its impossible to block

them all using my spam controls.

Thats the whole point of the thread.

I have no debt and these agencies are calling
me for debt that belongs to people I don't

even know.

Everytime I actually pick up, I tell them
they have the wrong number and to

please take me off their calling list.

But even after a week they start calling again
from a different numbers looking for the same
person.

Its really annoying. Especially when they call
early in the morning and ruin my sleep.

sorry did'nt read your post properly

a good one i use for nusience's caller's is ask them to hold on while i turn the oven off then just keep them waiting, 12 mins is the longest,they soon get pissed off

Believe me, if you can have a cocky attitude you can pull this off, they will never call again!!

Tell them that they got the wrong number and stop calling you. It is a good idea to record the phone call, if you can. And when you call back better use Skype, a pay phone, or caller ID blocking.
No one wants to be contacted by the debt collectors, especially when you are busy doing something. But today Administration proposal allows federal debt collectors to call cell phones , so debt collectors can legally contact you on your cell phone. I guess it will be an additional problem.

1. You do realize when you "answer" & tell them to take you "off" there list, they put you on the more "exclusive" list which is - CALL MORE!
2. It's the same agency, using different #'s & names ... that's another way they fish you in to picking up the phone.
3. Solve the issue by changing your # & dealing with the hassle of telling everyone your new number.

It's that easy.
I would take 3 hours of my day updating my #'s & giving my new # to end constant calling all day.
If you look at it in the long run, your winning.

A loud whistle or horn blown right back into the phone each time it happens will 1) probably hurt the caller, 2) make you feel a hell of a lot better and 3) may make them think twice about calling your number every day. But, the easiest thing to do is if you don't recognize the number- DON'T ANSWER!

go to the attorney general website for your state, plain and simple. fill out a complaint with as much information as you can. keep track of the names of the agents who call you, ask them if they have an id number, and report their ass. i did this once and it would have went great except it turned out i actually owed the money
seriously, the attorney general is there for just such a circumstance and i don't know about your state, but in my state the form is so simple a 7 year old could do it. almost 100% headache free. screw those fuckers to the wall, or at least make them pay a fine. bastards.
