if you switch the lights, and they dont need fed, feed them bloom nutes the next feeding. it takes a coupkle weeks for 12/12 to register into their brains anyways

i like to use grow nutes for the first week of flower as they grow a lot when u start 12/12 but buds are not starting to produce yet
second week start bloom /boost

I move the plants to 12/12 and give only water until the plants show preflowers...then give a very light dose of bloom nutes...then I just carry on from there, but flowering...I don't give any veg nutes again til around the 3rd or 4th week of flowering, and then I add an 1/8th dose of veg nutes to the half dose of bloom nutes...
I also find that giving too many bloom nutes is harder to see than giving too much nitrogen in veg..Nitrogen burns plants up and is pretty easy to recognize, but too many bloom nutes makes the plants look like they need nitrogen...
So you won't need to give any veg nutes during bloom as long as you don't overfeed with the bloom nutes...I only give my plants veg nutes, once or twice in their lifetime, because I keep plants in 3 and 5 gallon pots so they aren't huge and just don't need more than 1 or 2 doses of nitrogen for their whole cycle.

Just make sure you give a few waterings of just water prior to starting the bloom nutes..that keeps your 2 week old blooming plants from suddenly looking nute burnt...

Grow nutes until you actually see them flowering, then switch over to bloom nutes slowly increasing the dosage. You really can't go wrong following any of the above advice.

yup i agree with ruudong, veg nutes in the first week of flower for sure. how ever after the first week of bloom i just taper way down on the veg nutes to a quarter of what they were getting, and continue that thru flowering along with the bloom nutes.

Grow organic... That's what I do! Go to the subforum Subcools oldschool organics. Make super soil ????? PROFIT!

But what I did was give em a good flush then slowly start to add bloom nutes after preflowers show and taper off N @ the same time! NEVER COMPLETELY REMOVE THE NITROGEN. Your plants will shit in your mouth if you do. Trust me I did it 6 weeks in and really really really wish I didn't. The stretch takes a lot of N and the buds use N to get larger. Just don't use as much cuz if you do it too much your buds will burn/smell/taste/smoke like shit.

Ok so when I do use the bloom should i flush the veg nutes out< or just add to it
personaly i go in to bloom nutes after the first week i dont flush it

but flushing it wont do any harm either way you should be ok

but if u feel like it would be better for your grow flush it 1 time before using bloom wont do any harm :)

just my 2 cent buddy

I agree with grow nutes for the first week or so of flower, however some nute plans use a mix of flower and grow nutes for early flower. For instance on the GH Flora Grow, Micro, Bloom bottles it says use 3-2-1 for veg, 2-2-2 for early flower, and 1-2-3 for late flower. So whatever your formula is, say if you're feeding 2 gallons, you could mix 1 gallon of grow nutes with 1 gallon of bloom nutes, and that would be a good early flower recipe for first 2-3 weeks of 12/12. I don't recommnd flushing.

When I was using GH lucas formula, I just went from 5/10 ml per gal straight to 8/16 ml per gal as soon as I switched 12/12 since it is not a different formula, just a higher concentration.

Im using a powder form all in one nutes formula, so Imnot sure.So just use the veg nutes for a week, then start adding in the bloom nutes?

Are you using Maxibloom and the KISS method? 1/2tsp per gal for veg and 1tsp per gal for flower or what? If that is the case, I don't think it matters much. I would switch to bloom ratio when I switched to 12/12 just for simplicitiy's sake.

ah, so there's seperate grow and bloom powders... you may want to transition by using half the recommended amount of grow powder and half the recommended amount of bloom powder for a week or 2 after 12/12, although aqua seems to say go straight from one to the other (maybe just to keep things simple)AquaSchedule1.jpg
