How much to tip the MMJ delivery driver?

i think rollitup should make a chating system for making the job post visible. to see the battle of employer vs. contractor
 
If the weed is so bad, then why order it? If you dislike paying for it because it is too expensive then don't. Grow your own or don't smoke it. It is as simple as that.

thats bullshit. when you form a corporation you have to find a bank that is ok with setting up an account for mj delivery.... and there's plenty of them out there.

actually, there are many factors to consider if you were to tip an mmj driver since there are many ways to get shafted when buying a sack. with a pizza, the factors are: is hot?, is the order right?, is it on time?
 
I say no because this reason;

1) Walk in disp, at least the one I use has top shelf 1/8ths 30 bucks. My delivery services I use charge 55-60 an 1/8th, so I am paying twice the price but he has gas and vehicle fees to pay for. Both the delivery places I use are small family operated so there the grower/supplier.
 
I am a patient and have used a delivery serive all around the state. Here in socal and as welll in norcal. Last year forth july i decided to take the subway out to san francisco go see the fire works get a cold one burn a few down all in good time solo or not.

I call my delivery half way to the city say hey man i am the subway parking lot in berkeley you think it be cool to drop it off at the station parking lot? He says sure the time of arrival is 5 minutes. I walk down the stairs wait 5 minutes for the range rover. Guy was cool they charge like 50 or 55 the 8th but is convient.

I guess what i am trying to say is if you can afford it and are getting a better deal than 50 or 55 for the 8th they are cool people throw joints and shit then throw him what ever left over ones in your pocket if ya want. I am sure he would go back and tell the boss. They know me by name call me with updates. I think some are out there for the buck no compassion.

Some are for the buck and some compassion : )

And delivery services have considerably lower overhead costs.

I'm still inclined to think you tip them absolutely nothing unless they are giving you an amazing deal. This isn't ordering pizzas.
 
i was talking to my friend that runs a delivery service and he agrees its not pizza,,,he says that he factors his prices on gas the amount he paid for it or if its out of his garden and raps it into one price ......he charges 10 a gram usually for top shelf never seen it go over 12 a gram ,,,,

Which is how any and every business works, you factor your overheads into your price, and not rely on peoples generosity to cover them :) glad there's one straight headed delivery chap in the business.

Maybe you should make your prices reflect your business costs instead? It's what every other business ever has done. It is the universal rule of business. Charge enough for your product or service to cover all of your costs and also make a profit.

And employers are legally obligated to make up short comings to bring your wage to minimum wage. You work for $2/hr and make NO tips, they have to compensate you the difference to make it minimum wage. Not tipping does not COST them anything other than the lost tip.
 
From what I've experienced, good delivery services that aren't in to to get as much money as they can as fast as they can, don't accept tips. Those are the ones you want to go to, because they are honestly in it to help their patients, and make a little on the side (be real, everyone in the business is out to get their own, but you can help people along the way). We used to use a delivery service that covered parts of OC and LA, great prices, friendly drivers, they refused to take a tip. We offered them at least $20 per ounce we ordered, and every week they told us they couldn't accept any tips.
 
As an accountant, I would file my sister's income taxes. The W-2 has a box titled "Alocatted Tips". That is the amount of tips that you should have received because of your sales. Each year she had to take a form to her employer to sign that told the IRS that the tips that she did receive was not what was alocatted. Why in Hell would anyone pay income taxes on $25,000.00 when in reality they only earned $12,000.00. If one is to read this thread, one would think that underpaid sales people must live in that scenario across the country. What is a "good" tip? Whatever one thinks is fair and equitable for the services received. If the dispensary does not charge additional for delivery, then you should apply for a job at the dispensary to determine their wages. Regardless, it will take some forethought and leg work on your part. That would be better than starting a thread which have the members fighting amongst themselves.
