i would actually have to disagree with this statement, at least if you live in a medical state. here (ill omit the city), and my old city Portland, OR, it generally went 10-15 a gram depending on who you went to. as far as quality, tbh i haven't seen a bag of shwag in close to 7 years, which i would assume is do to the proliferation of dispensaries.

-edit- forgot to add, ive never paid more than 50 an 1/8th and thats the Name Brands
 
here in the wild midwest that is...... 65 an 8th , 125 1/4, and so on up to 400 an oz lol not a medical state.... damn i wish...... we got lotsa shwagg too but im talkin bout the kush, dro, top-grade stuff
 
im on the east coast, and i know someone selling grams of some killer name brand buds for $20 a gram, and people are buying it up like its going outta style.. they can't keep enough in stock.. i woulda thought that people would be looking to buy more than a gram at a time and save some cash in the process, but they say the grams move very quickly at 20 per..
