How many have seen a gun pulled on another, except legally by cops?

Have you witnessed a gun being pointed at another illegally?

I want to know how many have actually witnessed, in person, another ILLEGALLY pointing a gun? Either trying to kill the person, robbing them, etc?

What was the circumstance? Explain.

Self defense, etc, doesn't count. It has to be a criminal use of a gun. It can't be you just heard it either. You had to actually seen the gun and knew it was one too

i once had someone pull a knife on me while i was trying to buy $20 worth of weed at the park. even in my uber-liberal state, that would give me the right to pull my gun and end his life legally.

instead, i pulled my $20 bill, told him to chill the fuck out over $20 worth of weed, took a look at the weed, bought it, went home, and got high.

not sure what he did with the 20 spot, but pretty sure he blew it on booze or hookers. a happy ending for all.

when i was 10 i was shot at by a whacked out methhead in my own back yard. he lived on the second floor of the apartment building next door, and one day he came out on his landing and started popping off at me and my brothers while we were tending our garden.
the cops never showed up. he eventually got busted for smoking meth and was imprisoned, but for almost a month we had to wait for one of my uncles or grandpappy to come over with his rifle before we could go into the back yard. the cops NEVER responded to our complaints, even with the assistance of the other neighbors. for some reason they just didnt believe this asshole would stand on his porch and fire at kids in their own garden. cops. they cant get any stupider.

when i was 19 i worked in a pizza joint and we got robbed at gunpoint by a local street gang. it took almost an hour after the perps left before the cops showed up. shockingly the crime was never solved.

when i was 20 i didnt actually SEE the guy pull a gun but i got shot in the back. does that count?

so i carry my heater pretty often these days. next time i get to shoot back.

Doc,

What I meant by SEE isn't just hearing gun shots and having no idea where or if it was a real gun.

I used to hear gun shots all the time when I lived in San Bernardino. But I have yet to actually witness one.

My purpose of this thread is to find out how bad the big bad gun is and how that changed their life.

Killed a someone at my house when they tried to steal my car. Never want to kill anyone ever again to many judges to go to.
How did you not end up in jail for 20 to life? Dumb lefties seem to think as long as the, other person is just doing his job, stealing your shit, it's your civic duty to help a brother out by handing him your keys to make it easier. The same with rape. They have to be trying to kill you. Even then, to a lefty, it was still uncool, bro!

Not sure if this is the case here, but Some states have this:

where im from guns are VERY illegal but of course some people use them for criminal acts and such. really cant belive what im reading here.. not that im calling bullshit i just mean its SO unreal to me that the cops dont show up or come 1 h later and so on. where im from..shit it would take them 30 sec if someone reported gun-violence lol. maybe people in the US just dont take guns serious? i mean a gun is a tool. a tool for killing. i still belive its wierd that some people belive what need to be done is MORE guns and to start shooting back! just imagine the crossfire that would have happened in that dark movie theatre? Where i live some people live their whole lives and die without ever seeing a real gun in real life except on the police or on tv.

When I was about 7 years old a cousin stayed over at my mom's place and managed to rouse the anger of nearby crips. They did a drive by on us but nobody was hit.

I also had a guy show me a revolver in his belt and tell me to give him the dollar I was putting in a machine for quarters at an arcade. For some reason I figured a guy who was afraid to actually pull it and point it at a teenager at an arcade didn't have the balls to kill for a dollar so I just told him to fuck off, but I saw him getting his ass kicked outside a few minutes later and it was worse than the ass beating I suffered at the hands of M. Bison on Street Fighter so I then figured maybe he didn't have ammo or something.

We're happy to see that you let him off so easy....maybe he killed the next guy. :-(

I got shot. And if I had a gun it would not of changed a thing
*not have (I beat your buddy to it)

Hindsight is 20/20. It could mean something next time.

Do you think that gun control laws would have saved you from getting shot?

Absolutly not. I am pretty sure the guy that shot me wasn't legally allowed to own a firearm. Which kind of worked out. Since he shot me with a .32 caliber revolver most likely stolen from some one. The cars window and the threading on my jacket saved my life.
