How important are temps?

Say with a constant temp of 88 F...trying a DWC setup...the plant would still grow correct? Or what would happen?

Meaning is lower 13 degrees really THAT big of a deal?

Would it be pointless to even try and grow in those conditions?

Very important when they Swing by 40 degrees. ^_^ such as 90 lights on and 40-50 lights off.. That is what I call Hermi Recipe.

Your telling him hes over the borderline @ 88degrees? o_O Please. I have had harvests during 90+ degrees in the Early days of my grows. works just fine for someone who is not worried about OPTIMAL results.
you're over the borderline by a few degrees, either wait for winter temps (if that will even any diferent) or get a air conditioner.

Very important.....not only will those temps slow growth it will heat your reservoir temps creating ideal conditions for disaster.....if you were in soil those temps wouldn't be so bad..

It's not terminal. Do some preventative maint. and you will be ok. Cool your res temps somehow. Burying it is the most passive and requires the least energy. Try to reduce the temp as best you can but if your solution is coolish? You will be ok. Co2 is always an option

Reason I ask, is my buddy has one plant growing from schwag bagseed. It's about 4 weeks old, and about 4 inches tall. The leaves are always cupping down, and he's already had to remove the bottom first two true leave branches. From my studying, plants should be ready for flower cycle at about 5 weeks. This thing has a total of 2 large separate fan leaves, and two smaller ones on the top. That's it. LOL

I'm trying to tell him to relax and use this as a time to practice and fine tune before using good seeds, and that he's doing everything right, he just can't do anything in this heat.
Just wanted to know if I was telling him the right thing, I wasn't sure if those temps would slow the plant growth THAT much. Plus, the summers almost over.

honestly that sounds like much more than just a heat issue, sounds like poor lighting and ph problems as well

if 88degrees is the MAX it gets too, you shouldnt have any worries, at least from temperature. If the leaves are drooping and bottom leaves are dying off it sounds like overwatering or sometihng, or maybe just shit genetics from the bagseed

It sounds like overwatering doesn't it? I asked him, he said the water level is a smidge below the cup. He also says the roots are approx 8-10 inches long. If heat isn't the issue, I'd expect a LOT more growth after over a month from seed. Says his PH at water change is 5.5, and climbs to 7 over 3 days or so, and he PH downs twice per day in .5 increments to keep it in the range. So it doesn't seem like a PH problem either. No weird PH spikes. It's confusing, because besides the temps, it sounds to me like he's doing everything right.

Hello,
88 degrees in an indoor environment will cause slow growth, But it will eventually get mature enough to flower...

MaryJane Likes 75-80 degress for the highest yield. Anything above 98 is going to cause the plant not to grow. This may be different for outdoor.

But indoor has to be as perfect as possible! Don't settle for "It just works"

Temps to high or to low can bring bugs or fungus to an indoor environment and ruin our crops. Make sure you have exhaust fans and intake fans in the grow room... Make sure the temperature gauge is under or around the plant, And not 2-3 feet away.

Are you have trouble with humidity?

I hope these plants grow nice and big, And produce a great yield. Keep it at 76, And your plants will grow as fast, And produce as much BUD as genetically possible
