I feel like they would be better lights(but still not worth the price tag) if they spread the diodes just a hair, thereby increasing the foot print.

i agree. the old one that i had couldn't quite cover my 3x4. but i did like the uvb t12's that they had in it.
and i felt like the SS550 would be the same issue. probably in a 3x3 would be killer. but the adjustable spectrum via the controller seems cool. and built in sunrise/sunset seemed cool too.
i don't know why they went with cobs for the solar extreme series? seems like they were a day late on that tech.

Is there a separate timer for the T12s, or are they just on full time? Or at least a switch for when you're working in the room.

there was a switch for it. and a switch for veg/bloom mode too.
like i said to other guy, i sold that thing on ebay for 200 less than i paid after about 4 yrs plus of use. you can't say that about many other brands.

A known scam artist becomes a paid advert at RIU and creates a challenge. The scam artist is still pushing 10yo tech, but challenging one of the leading white light manufacturers - which you consistently trash talk on. Now, the scammer has thankfully and rightfully been chased out of here, but HH insists on running the experiment anyway. It doesn't make sense. Which is where my comment came from.

Also, slap a statement in you sig or bottom of every post asking for no comments on the main thread.
Hopefully that will be enough but I know how many here just can't help themselves and gotta poopoo on every decent informative grow test when they have no control of how it will turn out

It was pretty amazing but it looked like rain this week so I cut it a few days short. Besides exploring Denver I went up to Morrison to check out red rock park, lookout mountain, garden of the gods, and did a little hiking at the base of pikes peak.
Definitely gave my lungs a workout this was my first day in town lol. I’ll be back to visit again the wife is jealous I went alone

take the wifey next time and hit pagosa springs, durango area , mesa verde, cortez, etc. that's the thing about CO that i noticed; the whole state is fantastic but it takes hours to get from place to place.
