They couldn't.
It's the same spec, better tech.
So the X3 lights are the same spectrum as the XB's, it's just the XB's are more efficient than the X3's.
Same light, better specs. So, this light in this grow is discontinued, but the new line is basically the same thing as far as the light coming out. New model just puts out more of it per watt at a cheaper price compared to the old one.
If she wasn't such a crazy lying cunt I would buy one of her new lights to try out it's actually a fair price now. Before it was $2000 to light a 4x4 with 5 year old tech now it's less than $800 for the brand new diodes idk how that price difference is possible. She really shoulda just made the new product before coming here and making bullshit claims. Her original claim was she could beat hlg by at least 4x in yield apparently she changed her mind and now thinks she will win by 40% I wonder what will change next.

I didn't look it up or anything and don't have quotes, but from what I remember it was 4x hid, 40% hlg. I can stand corrected on this because I'm just going off of my bad memory.

They wouldn't. The point the seller is trying to make is that shes claiming she can outperform the latest n greatest using 6 yr old, 1.5 umol/j, RGB tech.
Imagine what the new t3ch could do, is where shes going with that.
She equated the results using the old tech to be 30-40% increase over opponent HLG'S TRINITY, Due to photosynthetic efficiency of the spectrum.
Personally, i think its gonna be close.
It may be close but I can guess the outcome already. HGL plant will be twice the size of the HLG plant simply due to the stretch difference from the heavy red supplementation of the HGL. May both yield the same but the HGL plant will consume more area.

In the beginning it was 4x any light then she actually researched the new led an changed it. She also tried to stop the side by side from happening she was threatening to take hybrids lights back. He then changed it up an matched ppfd instead of running the lights by manufacturer recommendation so that hgl would have a chance at yielding close to the same amount the hlg. after that she was ok with the side by side but still got banned for continuing to be a crazy person.

The simple fact is she sat on old tech for ten years while the industry flew by her, until many of us on here schooled her on what the new science had learned and expanded it's knowledge both about plant physiology and lighting.
At least she's not totally ripping people off now it's actually good she came to RIU it improved her product and cut the price in half if she didn't get trolled so much here she would still be pushing the old stuff.

I feel like there's quite a bit more differences then that but yeah, same spectrum.
Nice work on your threads BTW!

Oh boy, its like what's his troll face.?Damn, brainfart. 50% truth, 50% lies. Then some people actually believe. Terrible tale it to the other thread man. Why you testing me?

Essentially wouldn't that be a win? Even if one oz less, im sure there's more then one data junkie out there that would gladly crunch the G/umol/j, haha! I wish my brain worked that way.
But that's not a win because she had made very large claims & Has to live up to them.
A tie would however teach us a thing or 2 about spectrum.
Just for the record, Nobody dictated my grow in anyway aside from that few days of high intensity in the beginning. I grew these plants to the their fullest ability
(with the time i had available to tend them).
Staying with equal parameters, feeds, environment, ect... How i saw fit while still growing using the manufacturers recommended heights. If she had not seen the thread & was to reply to an e-mail question or something then the answer would be as we all know, 12-30". Obviously if the plan was for x4, 84X's to cover a 4x4 then they were planned on being flowered at 2' (that is what coverage allows)
Why would i as a grower take my young, not prepared plants n blast them @ 12"???
So, NO that is not her actual recommended growing height under regular circumstances. They can handle 12" n like it once they are ready.
EDITTED: Trinity should remain @ 28"-34" unless dimmed. Dimmed to 200w it will double outperform a T-5, 8 bulb, 4'. And can go as close as 20" (strain/grower dependent)
As far as i can see everything is going good. Many of us have had similiar results vegging under 35-5k. Tight noded, smaller bushes. Some prefer that, while others like the big long bush.
Eitherway, its all Bush n we loves us some Bush. 20190709_171442.jpg
