I remember no dial. You picked up the handset and the operator asked you - Number please- Before we got a tv the nights entertainment used to be listening in on the partyline.
Hey don't forget about "party lines". And we always had some nosy old lady on ours, listening in on all my phone conversations. I would egg her house every Halloween and I aged those eggs all summer!

I remember when Coca-Cola tasted good, and cost 5 cents, candy bars too! My first car was a 72 Gran Torino with a 351 Cleveland. It was white and had the hood scoop. That car was stolen 3 times while I owned it. I also had a 55 Chevy Pickup with the wrap around back window, with a 283 under the hood. I've had a lot of cars, but those were two of my favorites. I also had a 72 Ford P/U that I would like to have back. I had Cragars on it and lots of chrome under the hood. 351 Windsor.

hahaha Thanks for the laugh. Yea, I always watched what I said on those lines. I could hear stuff on the line when talking... It was not me or the one on the other line.

I remember seeing gas for 20 some cents a gallon back in early 70's. Grape soda with grape juice in it, orange juice in the orange soda. Orange groves all over the place. Smog was horrible though in southern California.

I do not have nostalgia now over that time, I prefer today and the legal growing and smoking of any strain I want. Cheap gas, better sodas, open space, the music, yea there was a lot to like back then too.

I remember when Coca-Cola tasted good,
I sure hear ya there. When the plastic bottle came out, all of a sudden, it tasted like plastic. Now, Popsicles, Creamsicles, Ice Cream sandwiches, none of it tastes good anymore. Not like it used to and no, its not that my tasters are shot ( well maybe some) But they just dont make stuff like they used to.

I hope that I can live to see it legal here in Florida. I feel like there is a new vibe in the air and it might be possible....hope so. They say that I'm a dreamer...but I'm not the only one...LOL
