Anybody try baking soda?? I am weighing all my odor control options. Have a carbon prefilter and carbon outlet scrubber on order for my stealth cab. Have room above my light I thought I'd stick a couple refrigerator style boxes of baking soda up there in close to the fan intake just for shits and grins.

[QUOTEOut of desperation, I took two scented dryer sheets and stuck them to the fan, letting the fan suction hold them up, now my house smells like fresh laundry..[/QUOTE]

Did you try an air cleaner? ( Heppa) I had a buddy who started up a grow and his house REAKED of cat piss before.....then he brought this Heppa air cleaner in and it cleaned up the cat piss smell and the smell of the plants too!!.. Theyre expensive but theyre a one time buy.

Hope this helps.

P.S. I've done the "bounce sheet" trick before.....it's good for short term if that's all you need.....but myself, I'm getting the Heppa.
P.S.S. Do you have air going out? some sort of ventilation? If so, a couple fans and the Heppa should do it

Peace,

I find it hard to believe that two carbon filters and an ionizer were insufficient. How big is your grow room? They only work up to a certain amount of cubic feet. If the space is too large they won't be able to effectively rid the odors

Built an ozone generator with a duct cleaner, like this one on ebay. It worked pretty good, but it was too strong and put too much ozone into the air. It made my lungs hurt. Sunburnt my eyeballs. Couldn't see for two days. Damn I'm an idiot. Probably took a couple of years off my life.

Anyway, thanks for the idea about putting it into a trashcan and using it as a trap for outgoing air. Much more effective/safe. Cheap too.

Actually I'm currently growing strains that don't require any kind of odor control for my situation. Hash bomb and Harlequin. Growing some power plant, which will stink eventually, but probably getting rid of it, giving it away or something so I can get more high-CBD cannabis. Good times.

I do this in my Normal house hold vents to add a fresh smell though my house, Its 100 times cheaper then say glade plug ins or frebreez spray. I can honestly say i havent thought of doing on my vent in my box! As said wouldn't be a long term fix but def usable for un announced visits

...or just grow next to a Korean BBQ joint!

A) Airwick scents:plug them into a wall socket. Cheap & they work. Go for a piney scent as it masks that skunk odour.

B) vent the air from the grow into a space filled with a few boxes of opened Tofu . The tofu absorbs it. Good in winter or colder places.
