i am not trying to make u mad or anything

was not degrading france .......i am a mutt some of that in there with other things
I'm not mad I just can't agree with your reasoning as to why the whole male population wear aftershave/eau de toilette.

My parents were suited daily and always wore it. To me it's part of getting dressed and ready for the day. It's not about getting laid.

well the after shave is practical .it opens the pours and kills off germs (knicks bleed more flush wound scab up).....the scent was added in for ladies ( it was to help fight staff infection before they knew about germs..high proof spirts)

really think about the whole market for this stuff .......it is all meant to attract someone to u ......it is a old practice i know from the 3000bc at least
for a long time it was a signature scent spray on letters or handkerchief sprayed

smell is one of the strongest memory triggers if not the strongest .............i know no strait man that wears a scent unless it is to attract a mate or the mate likes it ( ask around how many times a guy has changed from something they liked to what she wanted)

i am sorry about the ladies picking men that smell like their father .......but it is true they done studies on this ....if he was a good man father figure it brings up those good feelings when sees the other guy she might not know about ..........it one of the reasons old spice is still here after so many years (think tech has changed they can use anything now but original old spice is still number one after shave )

wait edit
there is one other thing i know hunting .......huge market to remove all scent and odor so they can stalk prey

but all smelly stuff is really for females .....i know no male that buys candles to burn because they like the scent unless it for a lady/gay guy

Another generalisation. Quite clearly I wrote that both of my parents wore it. My Gran also.

The thing is, if you hadn't already noticed, as you age so does your taste in scent. Older people wear more musky scents and not young, fresh and aquatic. If you live in a city and get ready for work I think it's quite normal.

no it not is based off a understanding for history and human pyche

scents were used for 2 reasons
1 masking body odor
2 to attract a mate

with the culture change on bathing the first one is mostly gone except in those extreme cases

that left just the market to attach a mate ......witch all the ads u see on tv are about

as for your parents wearing it .....well yes it was the cultural normal but the original reason they wore the scent was the same to attract a mate (to break the ice to make it easier to find miss/mr right) ....really think about it have u ever heard of anyone where a scent that repulsed their mate

the culture norm has changed to Body spray

Cologne? No thanks, I'll choose that one for myself.

The Mrs. says that's not practical and we can't afford it.

So I have put organic soil amendments on my christmas list this year.
Have you looked at what they charge for that stuff? Even in bulk it ain't cheap.
From Amazon the price tag is still $300+. I have taken into consideration that
by buying in bulk I should not have to worry about restocking for quite some time.:weed:
