Help needed any suggestion??

Well guys, I planted 12 bag seeds 4 days ago and of the 12 I planted 7 have broke surface... I would have to say that's not to bad for just grabbing 12 random seeds and dropping them into the soil.
My other plants are still chugging along, no big changes except they seem to be showing some signs of bouncing back a little bit. The soil is starting to dry up some and I believe the roots are starting to regrow and mend themself. I realize they may not amount to shit but they may produce some small popcorn buds now that they are under the 400w HPS and the soil and growing conditions are far better than they were.
I will try to get some pics up in the next day or two to show where they are now.
I have started a grow journal of my new grow for any that may want to follow along. Not much there yet but will be updating regularly.

1/3 Batch:
2.7 bags Organic Base Soil Very good. but how much exactly ?
8-16 lbs Worm Castings The best thing you can add !
1.7 lbs Fish Bone Meal very good
1.7 lbs Bat Guano very good , but what kind ?
1.7 lbs Blood Meal very good
1/4 cup Epsom Salts unnecessary
1/3 cup Sweet (dolomite) Lime very good
2.5 Tbs Azomite very good
2 tsp. powdered HUmic Acid very very good also , but the good soil and castings contain plenty.
First thing you need to know is that nobody elses mix will for sure get you through to harvest. different species vary bigtime on their food consumption. so you have to get the mix dialed in to your species wants.

that is plenty to make a very good soil , but i dont see no perlite in the mix for aeration ? your gonna want 20 to 30% perlite in that mix too. that will help with watering too.

Thanks Wyteboi, Yes I understand that everybody's soil and strain will vary and thanks for the feed back. I would also add the perlite to the mix as well.

I have posted a couple of pictures of the new grow in my Journal and I believe they are progressing nicely.

Here is a couple of pics of the new grow. Only 6 days since the seeds were dropped into the soil and 3 days since they broke ground.

Thanks Wheels, My plans are to let them veg some more then top them once. I will be going with a organic soil mix and then they will be put into flower soon after that under a 400w HPS.

They are just some bag seeds I had and don't know the strain.

thats cool bro. be careful with bag seed tho. they tend to hermie and go gaga on u a bit more often then reg purchased seed. even more so than fem seeds. had to toss one today that was bag seed becuz it had pistils growing off of the balls. snapped the trannys poor little neck and tossed it in the dumpster. lol.make sure when u top them to give them a bit of veg time after to grow the branches out. good luck brotha. had my flower shed ballast fry on me the day after christmas. check my journal for the pics. surprised she wasnt in flames.

it cuz bag seeds are normally feminized seeds. most growers use fem seed when growing in bulk to be able to sell to the dispensories. cuts down on cost of supplies. feminized plants tend to hermie more easily becuz its in the genetics. to make a fem seed u have to stress a true female out enough i.e. heat stress light stress chemical stress to the point of it growing male flowers to pollinate itself or another true female and bam instant feminized seeds. but if u dont do it propperly it will give u horrible hermie plants everytime. thats why most bag seed is feminized. they used fem seeds to grow the bud to sell it to the dispensories and it just hermied a little in flower and pollinated itself or another plant. so beware of bagseed. dont veg it out too long cuz u might be dissapointed if u have to toss them out. i had to in fact not to long ago on 2 plants that would have been a half pound each.9 week veg time. only reason i vegged them out so long was becuz it gave me female pre flowers cuz they had matured enough. about 3 and a half feet tall dank thick indicas that hadnt even streched yet in flower. a week and a hal into flower it started spitting out balls and pistils everywhere. so i had to murder them. respect for my neighbors that grow.wasted a ton of nutes. coco man power and eelectricity. such a waste but u live and u learn. well at least i did.i normally 12/12 my bag seed so if it is in fact hermie i only wasted about three weeks to find out. and the first week and a half i only water with ph'd tap water. then half strength veg nutes for a couple weeks till it shows flowers or pistils then u will see in about a day or two after if its hermie. if not start the flower nutes on half strength and slowely wor up to full. check my journal it was started on those two fuckin hermie bastards is why i joined the site. if yall doubt me. lol. pics and all.

Well, here is a update on the 2 ugly looking plants.
The one that I transplanted seems to be doing OK, except for the fact that it is a Hermie. The buds are starting to get nice and frosty, Along with some seeds and spewing pollen all over my flowering room.
The other one really hasn't done much at all, buds are filling out a little but the plant is still very light green and now has a few seeds in there as well.

I am glad I didn't trash this grow, If I had I would not have been able to "Experience" a Hermie and what signs they have. I will continue along with them for awhile until my new grow is ready to start flowering. Then I will be busy cleaning the flowering room to rid it of all pollen.
Oh the lessons we learn along the way......

well in your situation , it was the stress that caused the hermie. that is a generic way to get female seeds is just to stress them out to the point they spit out seeds. those seeds may or may not be good.

i have only delt with a dozen hermies (all from the internet) and the ones ive seen dont have "pollen balls" or nothin , just banana lookin things.... and they dont bust open the same as a pollen ball, so definatly clean your flower room , but dont worry about the pollen too much ..... its not in the air or anything.

wheels seems to know a lil more bout seeds an hermies then i do .... so he might confirm what i just said ?

see i got decades of knowledge under the belt , but still dont know shit about hermies or seeds.... theres ALWAYS more to learn ;-)
