[HELP] Germination

Sup guys, am I germinating my seeds correctly? I will tell you the steps in which I took to germinate my seeds, please tell me what I have done/doing wrong.

Took seeds out of weed, put them on a hard surface and pushed on them (one by one) to see if they would break.. the ones that didn't I put in a jar to use. I got a plate and a paper towl, put half the paper towl on the plate and then soaked the surface (just enough to get it all wet, no puddles) then placed my seeds spaced about an inch apart from each other... after this I placed the other half of the paper towl on the seeds and soaked them. (yet again not enough for a puddle..) and finally I put the plate into a plastic baggie, and placed it in my drawer (dark area & room temp (70-76 degrees))

Its been 90 hours and only one seed looks to be doing anything.. it has a small opening from the seed where its starting to root. ***I check the bag everyday, once a day.. Open it, check if in need for water.. ect..)

EDIT!:: Alright guys thanks for the help, solution: keep warm, put the bag in a towl over night and they all started to pop! THANKS@!

yea, that should work, I soak my seed overnight before putting in the towell. also heat helps them pop. set it on a dvr or top of the fridge to keep them warm.

I've posted this before, but I'll repost ... hope it helps.

I use my oven. Now before you think I'm crazy, here is what I did. I put the seeds in the wet paper towel, folded aluminum foil over the towel, put the towel and foil on a plate, inverted another plate over the plate with the seeds/towel/foil. Put the whole set up in my oven and left the door slightly ajar, and turned on the oven light. The light keeps the inside of the oven nice and warm, but it can get over 100 degrees in there just from the light, so leaving the door ajar it stayed right around 82 degrees. I left everything along for 36 hours then checked on the seeds ... all germinated nicely.

To germinate my seeds I soak them in a shot glass for 24 hours. Then I plant them directly into the grow medium. I use a pen and poke a hole about 1/4 inch deep and stick them in. Every time I've done this I've had my seeds sprout within 3 days. You can drop several seeds into one pot, the ones that sprout just yank them out and repot.

Using the paper towel method is pretty risky. I've dropped them and stepped on them after they germinated, I had one seed that must have picked up some mold while in the bag inside paper towel, it sprouted out of my jiffy pellet along with a little bit of white mold and died the same day. Sometimes the roots will grow into the paper towel. I can rip them in half trying to get them out.

i use these steps...1.wet a couple of paper towels and fold them.2.get a ziplock sandwich baggy.3.put seeds between the 2 paper towels bout an inch n a half apart and press towels together.4. put the paper towel in the bag and squeeze most of the air out and zip lock it shut.5.put it in a warm dark place.(i use my sattelite box coz it stays warm enough).6.wait one day and open the baggy n let it air out for a quick second(it should have some condensation) n check seeds.if they didnt sprout yet reclose baggy and put back in dark warm area and check the next day.by then they should have already sprouted....that method worked for me every time so far...good luck....you can see em swelling if they are gonna sprout.
