hello new to forums in general. Asking advice for my mates dog

My mates dog has a problem.

His setup

5 chronic in large 4 pot wilma, 1 Mother for clones.
GHE nutes 1.6 ec
Ph 6.0
Co2 750ppm
1x600 sunmaster sodium
1x300 red florry
1 airstone
1 mix pump, 1 heater......temps 86
His plants have been 12/12 for 4 weeks they are about 5 ft high and 3 ft wide give or take an inch, no signs of stress YET!!!!
He thought all was going well till 2 weeks ago when some light tan snot started appearing in res and mothers res (mother seperate from others), this stuff multiplied rapidly and so clogged the pumps, so he cleared them.... water changed.... re-nuted blah blah.
Slowly the situation began to escalate again, he had been very busy and unfortunately realized this morning that the drippers had clogged and the roots had turned brownish, the snot sitaution even worse.
He cleaned the res again, the pumps etc and refilled with pure water from filter and put cannazyme, rhizotonic, rootjuice as per instructions.....NO NUTES....
The ph was 6.0 and ec.08 he thought he would leave this for 24 hours as kind of a flush.
1 hour later the ec had rose to 1.8-2.0 ph the same?????????
Anyway he would appreciate your input as to the cause of :
(1) the snot and
(2) the apparent rise in ec with no substantial nutes. By the way there is no light getting into res. Thankyou

whats with all these noobs coming around here claiming that they're only here to "ask advice for their 'friends' "??

I find it fishy.. personally.

I mean.. do they not have any new technology? I mean shit.. you can just about get on the internet with any device these days.

weird...

peace.

honestly this post confused me completely, mates dog? so I didnt bother to reply at all, so I understand where u r coming from. I only re-checked it to see, what answer someone else could have left...& I see u were as bewildered as I it seems.

Maybe we could just try to answer the question? It's really not that hard to understand :)

You say the room temperature is 86, what is the reservoir temperature at? Unless you're running
a chiller I imagine your reservoir temp isn't that far off of your ambient temp which would still
put it much too high for safe growing conditions. What are your res temps at?

Also, just curious why you're running your room so hot and only using 750ppm co2. I don't have
experience with this, but from what I've read the plants will metabolize faster with higher temps
in appropriate co2 levels. Is 750 high enough to keep up with the metabolize rate at which they'll
be at with your 86* room?

Could the rise in PPM's be a salt buildup breaking down into the thinner solution? I'm not really
sure about this question.
