Heard that glass sheilded light prevents the color change of trics, is it true?

So the other day while at a dispensary I frequent. I began talking about my eagerness to harvest and how I had read recently, on here I believe, that THC is at it's most potent while still clear just turning milky as apposed to the milky turning amber that most everybody goes by. I know/read that more amber means more narcotic and such but this spurred a tangent from the clerk. He stated that he had heard/read, "somewhere", that glass shielded lights block out a part of the light that inhibits the trics from changing color. Is there any truth in this you guys or do I just need to ask for whatever he's been medicating with?

this is false, possibly not entirely false, it may slow the change but it does not prohibit the change, i have a glass shielded 400w and the trichs changed just fine, i harvested at the first sign of amber and i was extremely pleased with he potency of my nirvana ww. I have had the chance to compare it to WW along with dozens of other top shelf strains and maybe due purely to freshness or cure method my home grown white widow was the most potent bud iv had aside from this nirvana White castle i just got, and iv been smokin various strains for almost 6 months since i ran out of my own bud.
