H.A.F. growing stink-flowers in dirt with QB's

When I stuck the numbers in the soil I labeled them from best to worst progress-wise. So here's the leader - looks like the first deformed leaves may be popping. I is definitely getting some stem structure like a sprout.

And bringing up the rear but still showing 3-toes is one of the "not-topped" ones.

Stoner-moment - when old people think about random shit and get ideas.

I have been described as a "fun-sucker" for overthinking things and trying to make a science out of an art.

I topped some clones and didn't top others, but I left ALL the lower nodes intact. I have been watching the tops which are very different, but all of them are similar at the lower 2 nodes. If this is consistent it might be better in the future to just prune the internode below the top and get rid of it all together, then have the two lower nodes as the tops.

I have a few that are ready to start training the tops sideways so the lower stuff can get light. If the lower ones all get one sprout, then It means that you can probably count on one shoot per flower site. If they don't, and there are random sprouts from random places, back to square one on that idea.

Morning review of the last post with coffee and a fresh bowl.

IF one sprout comes from each flower site, you could start from veg on a seed plant planning a few sprouts to take.

For instance, even when not doing a manifold I always prune the first two nodes because they are gonna be larf. Those 4 are usually skinny and don't stretch enough to ever catch up with the other tops. But if they were pruned with monster-cropping in mind, keeping everything close to the stem, you could have the 4-5 nodes on top would probably be perfect for this. They would have good stretch (those 4 always do). Plant it near one side of the pot when it's rooted and start bending it sideways as soon as they re-veg.

I don't like waiting a long time for stuff, but having 8-10 shoots all popping at the same time means you could flip as soon as the true leaves show, and get a shrub out of it. And I would probably be fine if just one of them took. A single plant in a 5 gallon can fill my closet.

Got busy today. I now have two full height rooms and got rid of those damn racks. I had wooden "ducts" (materials on hand) with light baffles inside on both sides. One for this room, and one for the closet-proper next door. This room was an add-on, and the closet vented through this wall before the second room was built.
Before IMG_0107.JPG
AfterIMG_0110.JPG
And the other side has a corner lost to a window that I had to box out (for light) that was perfect to fit the vent for this room under
IMG_0106.JPG
I still have work to do on the outside (note the filter stuff jammed in the holes) but you can see the window issue better
IMG_0113.JPG
So here's the semi-final. It works but it's ugly.IMG_0117.JPG

The goal was to move all three flowering plants into the righthand (3x4) room and the clones into the better veg-lighting - which will work in a few days...IMG_0114.JPG
But I got ready to do the moving and saw gnats again, so I doused big-ugly with peroxide.Had to put new gnat-strips on everything and start the death-watch again.
IMG_0118.JPG
Since I have 7 clones of her going, as soon as I see mostly milky trichomes
I think she's done.

I started a new thread just for the clones. Link in signature block.

I'll still update here, but that one is a "how flower-clones work" page. Since I am looking at possibly 100% success rate, I wanted to document the process by itself. There is almost nothing out there on the webz.
Does this only work with clones? I put some plants outside from seed they were in a shady spot and started to flower. I did not want to flower them. I’ve put them back in the sun to re-veg I’m hoping they will continue to grow. Any help would be appreciated

Not really sure about outside. If you have photoperiod plants it is light/time dependent. I don't think that sun/shade matters as much, since they are still in daylight so I would stick with sun. Right now there are about 14hrs of daylight where I am. I don't think that would generate flowering. It might depending on strain.

For the clones taken during flower there is a period of "shock" like transplant shock from switching to 18/6 lighting from 12/12. They go through a process of re-vegging where the flowers disappear or die off and new weird leaves show up. Then at some point you put them back under 12/12 to flower.

If they flower now you are looking at a mid September harvest - which is pretty spot on. (60-ish days?) and your plant will stretch once it starts flowering. Some plants more than double in height, some not so much - check your strain info.

Hope this helps.

Mornin' again - I'm stoned...

So as to your original question, yes, a whole plant can re-veg. It is not advisable, because there is a better than average chance that it will hermie - or so I've read.

So for plants outside I would go for full sun - let the plant do it's thing, and look at a temporary sun-shade or something if the heat gets to be a problem.

In a few days it would have been Christmas in July - but I like to open presents early anyway :)

There's 10 testers of '4th Gear' from County Line Genetics,
Then a hoard of seeds bred by @J.James
I'm dropping 5 Royal Mystery tonight to get started.
Bisons Breath and The Crown Jewel are the ones not fully pictured

Also culling a few monster-clones (the 2 slow ones) and definitely chopping the NL as soon as she's close.

@J.James gave me the info on all the strains he bred so

here's the F2's

Bison Breath
Motorbreath #15 x Stardawg
Motorbreath was bred by Pisces Genetics. This perfect combination of the legendary Chem D and SFV OG cuts embodies everything you want from both parents. Motorbreath has placed on High Times Magazine’s list of Strongest Strains on Earth multiple times and tests at over 28 percent THC. This is a fantastic cultivar that produces high yields of top quality hash and has been coveted by growers and extraction artist for many years. Combining the Motor Breath cannabis strain with Stardawg’s superior lineage of Chem 4 and Tres Dawg (Afgan x Chem D) will undoubtedly produce some elite new phenotypes adding in more Chem characteristics.
Genetic Makeup
Chem D – 47%
Chem 4 – 25%
SFV OG – 25%
Affy – 03%
Aroma - Citrus, Earthy, Pinesol, Woody
Flavor - Chem, Citrus, Lemon, Pine, Pungent Diesel

Golden Lion Genetics – The Crown Jewel
THE CROWN JEWEL = CHIHUAPEI X DUBKING
This is one varietal I especially love; the blending of these two plants creates offspring that grow fast, flower aggressively, with a proliferation of flower sites and wonderful aromas to delight the olfactory senses. You will encounter progeny with a mix of deep rich purple hues and burgundy coloration, and the all green plants that have strong OG Kush and sour aromas with huge bursting calyxes!

And these are his personal strains
Royal Mystery
Royal Queen Dimond X Mystery Meat
Flo Diesel
Big Bud #4 X East Coast Sour Diesel

Ans his sorry ass made me do things I have been putting off, like the flower room rehab, and the death and destruction coming tonight to make room. :)
Making coffee then getting busy...

First, These two lovely ladies are cut just from taking too long to get started. The untopped ones are now out of the mix, I'll update anything I learn on the other page - Also pictured is the seeds soaking on their heat-mat. Can you hear the germination from where you are?
IMG_0138.JPG
But this bitch is done. I'm cleaning it and salvaging what I can, but I'll probably end up decarbing most of it and eating it like popcorn. Thank god for clones because I wanted to try this strain.
IMG_0139.JPG
But I have tried peroxide, DE, gnat strips and the coffee filter thing and the little bastards were still crawling on the perlite. I don't want to infest any other plants, so she's setting outside while the coffee's brewing. I have to wash all the DE off anyway so not worried if anything gets on it.

Didn't bother weighing it, I will after it's dry. It smells really good, and I'm hoping that about 50% cloudy gives me a hint of how the monsters should turn out. IMG_0145.JPG

I just realized that by culling the Northern Lights I am back to normal. I now have a seed/clone tent, a veg room, and a flower room as originally intended - and some semblance of a rotation. I didn't mess with culling the 2 clones yet, since there's room. But in about a month I'll need room in there for new plants so the cull will have to happen. I am hoping that the 2 in the flower room have a long and happy life, so I may have to flip the other room one more time, but after these monster clones I have over 100 seeds to grow :weed: I may have to ditch manifolding just to save time and run more plants through, maybe try the 2 gallon SOG thing if enough fems pop at once.

Also, after the Skywalker broken limb that was pretty much strain related, I think I want one run of each strain just normal like a Christmas tree and see how each grows.

And I was thinking about getting a second HLG 60w to even out the tent, but I think I'll put that budget money back a month or two and get another HLG-135. I think I would rather be able to temporarily jack up the light to veg-mode in the tent than keep flipping the closet back and forth from 12/12 to 18/6.

After thinking about it, I also dropped a Black Widow ILGM seed just because the last one didn't pop when I started the SkyOG and Hulk. I need to grow the seeds I bought out while also being a professional tester ;)

Nice work bro
Thanks man!
Since I like the process of growing, I think running testers might be my niche. I mentioned before I have 3/4lb of Superskunk that I'm now smoking like cigarettes just because I can... I want VARIETY!!! :)

I now have 10 strains to run, 5 of them being testers there will probably be some variety within those strains. I still have 7 Superskunk seeds to grow as well. I'm thinking about sending some back as "no-pop's" and getting a different strain ;)

And my life just got simplified tenfold. In addition to a bounty of seeds, I found a hydro store about 20 minutes away that carries everything I need and is run by growers. Everything's cheaper than on Amazon, and you can ask questions about the different products. And they know. :)

@diggs99 Question for you. Have you ever made oil with stuff that has been decarbed? I infused olive oil, but after the primo drained off, I rinsed the rest of the EVOO off with about a 1/4cup of everclear. I let most of the alcohol evaporate, but some stayed.

Long story short, I tried it like a tincture instead of cooking and it rocks. I think the alcohol helps the absorption. Anyway, I was thinking about "knock-out-drops" making a tincture with decarbed weed and everclear, then just letting most of the alcohol evaporate until it gets to the right consistency.

It would be like making oil your way, but since it's everclear you don't need it all to evaporate, and since it's decarbed it doesn't need to be smoked.Thoughts?

I think it sounds great, i havent actually done it myself, but as you say, using Everclear, you dont have to worry about full evap, so that would def work in your favor.

I might have to try that lol
