OK, today starts the cloning process. Not really sure what I am doing but here goes.
Here is the cloner in operation, will begin taking clones soon.

20 seconds every 3 minutes to start with.
The cloning compound does not stay on the clones very long. I guess it gets into the rez solution and supplies the acid that way. Will be checking pH regularly to make sure the solution does not get out of wack with the cloning compound in it.

If you're talking about dipping the stems in Clone-X or something of the like, that won't help with hydroponic cloning. A couple years back when I cloned with aero (since have switched to DWC, much better cloning IMO) I had a similar tote and ran half my cuts with Clone-X and half without - no difference.

nice

@ Major Blazer

How long do you think it should take for the roots to begin showing? I am into my 8th day today.
I am now running 8 minutes off/30 seconds on.

I would not be spraying the clones, it will slow down the rooting process. Your clones shouldn't go limp in a cloner if they are getting enough juice on the stems inside the container.
As far as how long to show roots, depends on the strain some will start to root in 7 days others can be 14-21 days.

I run mine without a timer. Temperature of your water is important, should be between 75-78 degrees. I use clonex in mine and they start to root in about 5-10 days. If your temperature is too low in your reservoir, add a small submersible aquarium heater.

Don't mist. usually takes 10-14 days for transplantable roots. You don't need hormones or anything just give it time. I usually have my timer on for 5-10mins on and 10-15mins off. Ive done tons of different times and they all work. Don't worry about pH. Trust me the most I've added is some azos. I take my cuttings and soak them in a azos solution and plug in. With azos I had greener foliage throughout the 14 days but I've had success without it.

As a side note, have a look at the pH, many rooting agents are very alkaline.

Aero can be finicky if you don't climate control.

I change the rez out yesterday, adding 3 more gallons than I had in there previously. I use 25% tap and 75% RO and the only thing I add to the rez is EZ Clones Clear Rez. I do pH but I let it roam, set it in the 5.7+ area and let it float to 6.3+ before I make any adjustment.

Wow, was I misled, was told to keep the rez below 70 and the room in the low 70's. My rez temp is 70.6 now and my room is around 70 depending on the time of day or night.
How are you using Clonex? Adding it to the rez? Have read it is not needed.
I do have an aquarium heater so will get my temps up. Was worried about bio slime.
Thanks for the tips.

These are 8 days in, still good color and they are growing, only have one light on them, a 2 foot T-5, at about 30 inches. The stems are still very firm and no wilting since the went in the cloner. I have three pheno's in there, all have the same growth pattern but two are more Indica dominant.

I made the heating adjustments, added the aquarium heater and the room is now at 75 degrees.

I believe I use 10ml per gallon. Some guys do not use any at all . . . A bottle lasts forever lol.

Don't cut your leaves next time. Not needed in aero

Try azos from Xtreme gardening. U can use it for ur transplant and waterings as well.

This was 12 days from cut .

Thanks guys, much appreciated!

@ DustBomb
So how long until you plant that clone? She looks extremely healthy.
@ Everyone
Also, I grow in coco, not sure what medium you use but how do you transplant and not end up with just a little ball of roots in the middle of a hole?

I root prune at transplant. Idk if its necessary or somehow slows growth, but I've never noticed any negative impacts. And when I say root prune, I don't mean a buzz cut. I leave like 6" across the board.

You just have a ball of roots in the middle of the hole mixed with some myko. Usually start in solos for about a week or 2 .

Thanks DB,
I will be going directly into 1 gallon smart pots, veg for 2 to 3 weeks and put into flower. I would prefer to go into Solo's first but time is an issue. I will be bolstering them with Great White and Sub Culture II daily and as you say used at the time of transplant also.
