that was ONLY 5 days lol!!!

dont veg for too long in there, no bullshit.
Been there, experienced that.. Damned good advice if you think size could even possibly be a minor nuissance in your space, because if you're thinking that it will likely end up way worse than imagined..

Question for Loudblunts if you dont mind. using this aeroponic unit how often would you have to change to rez?

To clarify an earlier post, ebb and flow growing is closer to what happens in the wild (naturally). We are all aware of the need for plants to have a wet and dry cycle. We are all aware of the fact that aeroponoics was originally designed for propogation (cloning). We all know that when the roots extend to the nutrient solution, the plant is also thriving on DWC (also constant wet).
Right, so why not build an Aeroponics system with a VERY large gap between the pots and the gulley that the water runs through? Keep the plants/roots as far away from the water/water flow as possible.

This is more of a question than a suggestion, BTW. :)

Roots can get pretty damn long.. You'd need alot of height to play with..

Yeah, I figured that no matter how high you built it, that they would eventually find their way down.

Still though, I am building my 1st set up now and wonder if it is worth it to extend that distance as much as possible?

Yea, but more will get used than you'd expect..
Assuming direct overhead HID, figure 16-24" for the light/hook, anywhere from 12-36" headspace depending on the light, and perhaps 36" for roots and what goes below..
Thats 64-96" of your 108", granted 96" would only apply to 1K lights in a tough to cool area.. Still though, at 65" consumed by setup, if your plants exceed 3.5 feet you're going to need to change something..

this is a good set up, but aren't the plants going to overcrowd that tub? Even if you go from clones straight to flowering, that's a lot of plants in a small space...

Can you do from seeds to full flowering with this kind of set up! im looking to try aero and im noob with it. never tryed. i can afford making my own set up just trying to find a good setup and see how it work .

hmmm

you dont seem very familiar with SOG according to your words.

in SOG you can fit at least 4 + plants per sq ft

lol.... such a simple question that receives a very broad answer.

yield and harvest varies greatly and depends on many factors
