Good Old Fashioned GROW OFF - Who's In? DWC Buckets x 2 || Biggest Yield = DWC KING

..I already have cuts in cubes and rooted, just wanted to let them get a little bit of height. DWC buckets in place and ready to go.

they look lighting white! Nice. When did you first start adding it? And was the ration to the gallon? Thanks in advance!
Thanks, but I can't say it's the zone alone, there's also hygrozyme/great white/61*
res temp that help keep them their whitest.

I started adding at beginning of veg, I think it runs 12ml/5g at the heaviest feeding
regiment. I have the small size and I've only used maybe 1/3 after 4 weeks veg
and on my second of week flower.

throw some pictures our way... maybe we can help you diagnose the problem

as of right now.... im saying its an all out nutrient deficiency... 200 PPM?

I dunno about you but as soon as I see a nice roots structure on my clones I make sure my PPM is at least 600. Do you use tap water?
Hey Eman - thanks for the response! Ill get the picies up tonight.

litle update - the ROOTS have a browny tinge - not sure if it's the nutes or what, My PPM is about 150... i was keeping it low to stay safe, i have plenty of roots, and up to thefourth set of leaves and they are 7 days old now.

Thanks guys and hapy growin!

Ahh ok, i get it.

quick question to all - will my grow be on its arse if my water temps are 80 - 90?? thanks :D

Well if they were rooted in the cubes before the 14th your fine WINK WINK haha :) if your late by a day or two it's fine. One more regular poster/competitor wont be shunned :) just weekly update with pics and info and your good to go:)

80-90 and you're almost guaranteed problems.

An easy solution to this is to put frozen bottles of water in the
res to help contain the temperatures.

You could also try using beneficials to contain the bad buildups
of higher temps.

Hmmm, not what i wanted to hear haha!! I have started this morning with those sealable sandwhich bags filled and frozen, with the frozen bottles of waTER idea, would i do that everymorning if its 24/0 or one inthe morning and one in the evening?

thanks for the help everyone - that was the main aim of this thread - learning tool for everyone!!

and the beneficials you speak of disposition what would the include?

About 2 weeks from harvest maybe a tad more :weed:

It smells amazing in the tent

Beautiful Weedler!! I think you may have enough time for another run before we finish haha!!

Mabey you can answer my question, i know my res temps are a little high but if thats not my droopy leaf problem causer could it be im running at 140 - 160 PPM??

Heisenberg started a pretty good thread about the beneficials here:
https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/361430-how-breed-your-own-beneficial.html

I haven't tried his way but people seem to be having good success with
the method he describes.

As for changing out your water bottles, if your lights are on 24/0 just keep an
eye on things and change out whenever necessary. There's too many variables
for any kind of set program as to when to change them out.

Yeah I am finishing this AK48, then have another 3 weeks behind it, then my Jock Horror 6 weeks after that! LOL then onto White Widow and more AK48 I think I'm going to love AK48 :D

ok cheers man, really appretiate you taking the time for a fellow COMPETITOR!! haha you might be sorry!!

another question haha, what are the prefect temps i am aiming for in the bucket about 24 C?? Also, will the fluctuating of the temps harm the plants up and down up and down or if the majority of the temps is under controll they will be ok?

Not in it for the glory, just figured I'd join along since my timing happened to be almost in
sync :)

As long as the temps are to a certain level those bad bacterias should have trouble growing,
I think that level is at around 68*f (20*c). Fluctuation I don't THINK should cause any issues, but
to be on the safe side maybe try to find the right cycle to keep things at least in a certain
range. The growth can begin around 73-75*f so you really gotta be careful or rot will kill
your shit real fast.

I like the coolers that people are using, seems like a real practical solution to keeping things light
sealed as well as very well insulated. I just wasn't sure how thick the walls are and if it's possible
to find some kind of grommet/bulkhead to turn them into recirculating.

What makes you say the fluctuation is good? I've heard of PH fluctuation being good
because of the plants being able to take up certain nutrients better at certain PH. Is
this same logic behind the temps? I figured if anything, the constant variation could
lead to stress, but it seems unless there's significant variation the stress would be very
marginal. Just curious if you had any science behind your statement as I haven't found
anything yet.

BTW, the colder you keep the reservoir the higher the amount of dissolved oxygen will
be in your res, and this is also a part of healthy root system and good plant development.

Healthy roots develop tasty fruits.

No science about reservoir temp change / fluctuation just something your faced with when using frozen bottles and HID's

In hydroponics we seek to emulate and improve the growing conditions for our beloved ladies... In nature ground temperature fluctuates at a very slow pace... therefore I would conclude that as long as the reservoir changed temperatures slowly you are fine... i.e. put in many small bags on a perpetual cycle (so put in one wait two hours put in another wait two hours put in another wait put in a nother wait.... take the first on out & put one in then wait, take the second one out and put one in... and so on) This would drive ME crazy though... why are your res temps so high?

The only things I found within the scientific community about root zone temperatures had to do with pathogenic microlife and parasites if its too high (80+) and no water uptake if its too low (freezing haha).

This is the only thing I could find that says temperature locks out nutrients... in this case Nitrogen. However the plant did not show any changes.. so thats good right.
