Garden under the sea

This thread is for all things from my garden and home. Anyone is free to follow along if you like. There will be pics and waffle about beer, whisky, food, and Lego (yes I am a nerd), and of course my fave 2 things (not including my wife and kids)..gardening and weed!

After last years lock down and complaints from neighbours about the smells coming from my roof terrace I kept my outdoor grow limited to 2 plants. One was a mystery plant and the other was an OGKZ lychee that didn't fit into my indoor cabinet.
Lychee

Mystery plant (90% sure its a GG4 x Melonade).

I squished all of the mystery plant into Rosin.

And here is what's kicking indoors.
I have a small cab for experiments and a slightly larger cab for trying to keep up with my habit of embiding myself with all things cannabis.
At the moment I am running 4 phenos of a new cross collaboration that I am doing with The Grey Area coffeeshop. They were kind enough to give me a cut of their award winning Kosher Kush. I had a male of a cross I made with, Archives Dirt Nap (Ghost OG x Dosidos) and The Dog, casually called Dirt Dog. And hey presto we have another kush x with a kush x with a kush, innovative eh!?!?! haha.
Some pics

And to finish off the Vertical cab. This has been toned down, at one point I had 1600w in here (2 × 600w hps and a 400w Mh) but now have 615w. 2 x 315cmh. A 4100k and another one that is a Philips green thingy, really can't remember exactly. Anyway, bills are slightly lower but I don't think they are as good at my old partners the 600watters.
I am in veg mode just now so nothing much happening. Just bending and twisting and tying them back. This room is effectively no till as I have been running these pots for a couple of years at least. I just remove the stump after harvest and pop a new clone in. Top dress and continue.
Any questions and comments welcome.

Nice looking plants. What sort of whiskey are you into?
Hi @Funkentelechy (interesting avatar name). All sorts of Whisky really (mainly Scottish, hence the spelling). Which I always knew was different from the Irish and American spelling but never knew why. Having checked, one theory being that the US has more Irish influence (they spell with an E)..meanwhile in Canada they maintained the Scottish spelling (without the 'e'). Anyway, like with most things I try not to discriminate, I love mainly East Coast Spey Side whisky. Honeys and Floral flavours. I do drink them but Island Whisky's are not really my hussle...too much Peat going on for me. Have recently tried some Japanese whisky as well. I'll post some of my faves.

she's flying high bru!

I am clumsiness personified, I have the gene, I just canny help it Cap'n....I have even passed it onto my eldest son who is 7 but wearing clothes of an 11 year old, he'll be shaving in a few weeks!!!...the dude bless him, also excels in his clumsiness. Well it was my turn yesterday as I potted up the 4 clones of the KK x DD. No 2, 4, 5 and 6. Somehow as I was putting the others into their pots my big old fucking arthritic knee managed to squish Number 4....sorry mate, no offence to @numberfour lol. Anyway I looked down and it was on its side, I pulled on it a tiny amount and it still seemed connected to its new legs but only just....with a few hours the leaves had begun to wilt a bit. I stuffed a placky bag over its head and hope it makes it through. Its not looking as sad as it did yesterday evening so one can only hope. I also gave The Grey Area the 4 different phenos so not all hope is lost as they have back ups (although their grow spots often get nailed by the police).

This is what we call in The Netherlands a Pannekoeken plant (pancake plant)...its a Chinese Money plant or Pilea Peperomioides. We noticed the other day small yellow phallic like shrooms growing in the soil next to all the new baby shoots. Then this larger shroom appeared. Tou got to love mycology

The Royal Brackla is some lush, smooth Highland Whisky.
The 15 year is is one of my fave Glenlivets. Fruity and smooth as well.
And The Chapter 7 is a new blended Whisky which comes from the Spey Valley. I normally drink Singles but this blend is really nice.

Have a great week everyone.
Peace DST

I read that you don't like the peat so much, and I see you have some Glenlivet there. It's my favorite. Would it be a safe assumption that the other two whiskys you pictured are as low on peat?

correct. 0% peat! they haven't even been on a day visit to a peat bog:)

Spey side whisky is always smooth, floral, fruit, honey, etc. Peat comes from the West Coast of Scotland and the Scottish Islands (Islay for example) and Ireland. East Coast whisky and Highland whisky don't have the peat flavours due to the geography of the area (mountains).

edit: you may find some Highland whisky with peat/earthy tones. Not Spey side though.
