Fusarium....has anyone heard of this?

Has anyone ever heard of, or suffered from this plant disease? I stumbled across it while researching one of my favorite plant foods. Check it out....first link is on the disease, second is a link on Drammatic K, which I've been using for awhile and plants seem to thrive on it. I just thought it was cool that it might actually help suppress plant diseases as well as act as a MJ super juice. I don't hear too much about Drammatic K, on the forums, so I just thought I'd throw this up here. It's processed completely different than other fish emulsion products.

Not too many people have even heard of this..as you can see by the responses. I think most people just don't realize what it is. You should check out the Drammatic K...I'm telling you the stuff is amazing...and it's been proven to suppress Fusarium and other plant diseases...which is an awesome added bonus.

I haven't experienced yet, but I bet a large number of problems we see in the forums are actually virus or disease related. In practice, its really hard to spot plant diseases unless it's obvious like powdery mildew or blight. To make matters worse, lots of growers reuse their soil, which technically your not supposed to do, but we figure since it's soilless and supposed to be less prone to virus, that its okay to do it. Plus lots people say they never have problems with old soil and if they do, they're more likely to blame the nutrients or PH then recognize a disease or virus related problem.

That's my take on it anyway. BTW thanks for posting, I haven't heard about that one myself and I'm glad I got a little info on it. :)

that drammK site has a little info on foliar feeding. almost sounds like i should give it a try. i usually dont foliar feed, or even mist with water. but i may give it a go now.

And yeah i hear that on disease, its so hard to recognize. I just use a silica additive and hope it helps the plant resist it. It does seem to help the plants resist mites tho. They still have mites, but they dont seem to get out of control like they used to.

I foliar feed with Drammatic K once,or twice, every two weeks in veg. The only drawback is that it makes the area smell like cat food for a bit lol...after the plants dry I quick mist them with clean water, let them dry again and then put them back under the lights. I also water, with small amounts, every 3rd watering or so. My plants seem pretty happy so far.

^^^ Does anyone else see the one leaf, on the plant to the left, that is wilted and sad looking? Anyone know what that may be? I thought maybe it got too close to the supplemental side lighting. It seems to only be affecting that one leaf......please don't say fusarium.... :wall: I thought heat or ph?

Well, I dont have any DrammK, but I do have a bottle of Serenade (http://www.serenadegarden.com/). I bought it hoping to fight off Botritus mold with this years outdoor crop, but since my nice peaceful spot is now home to loggers, im not doin an outdoors this year.

So maybe ill try using it. I do have one or two sick plants, and am not sure WTF is their problem, see :

I was attributing it to a bad nute mix, but i have it on my Cheese, in promix, and i have it on a Purp, in DWC. Im actually starting to see signs of it on my Hawaiian Snow in DWC also.

That definitely looks like potassium deficiency...well I'm almost sure. Are you using the same nutes in all mediums?

yup same nutes, Dyna-gro, protekt/grow. as they are in vegg only right now, I havent done any other additives. maybe ill try adding a drop or to of superthrive to the next watering...

Ill check my PH meter calibration also...

Or give them a banana! lol...no really I heard there is a way to make a banana tea for plants.... I would bet that you have potassium deficiency tho. I never used Dyna-gro. The guy, at the hydro-store, suggested that I start out with GH Flora-nova for DWC and I've only ever used Fox Farm's and the Drammatic K for soil. I heard that cold weather, even, can lock out potassium just like it does phosphorus...but that is just what I have heard.

aaah ha, I never even thought of the cold weather. It has been kinda chilly in there lately, and I have sprayed a couple of them with a heavy neem oil treatment. Ill just watch them over the next week and see what happens. thanx for the insight.

I have been spraying every 3-4 days, fighting off a minor Mite battle. I also hung up a HotShot No Pest strip to help fight them little fukrs off. I also have changed out the res, just in case i screwed something up. I forgot to test my meter tho. maybe later today.
