Fungus Gnat?

Go ahead and use the cinnamon just kee it off your leaves. I'm all about the multi pronged attack. Fr the dunks, I put 2 at a time in panty hose per 15 gallon water storage container. Let it soak for at least 24 hours and use that water when feeding your plants. 6 dunks is about $10-20 at home depot. Like I said. Fore I also use yellow sticky traps, Gnatrol with every feeding for so far 3 weeks, and 2 dosages of nematodes. Population quite reduced but not completely eliminated.
 
OK noob here - just thought I'd warn ya ;) I am fighting gnats like crazy! Just ordered nematodes because of all the good info here, so thanks! Its only my second grow but I did NOT have this issue the first time. I started earlier in the year this time, while it was still warm, so I'm thinking that did it. I tried the dia-whatever earth. But no luck. Thanks for all the info!

Well welcome Shayde, I haven't tried the diaearth stuff but I here its good shit.

Have ya tried the mosquito dunks for gnats
 
Hey Hemlock! No, I have not. I did get some insecticidal soap today but my good bugs should be here Friday so I'm wondering if I should even mess with this soap stuff. Will that soap kill the good bugs? I have used the sticky traps and those work really well for the adults that are flying around. When I re-potted, I used the diatomaceous earth, cleaned up the room real good and got rid of most of them but they just keep coming back. The root ball was too bound up to break out all the soil that was contaminated. I put that stuff in the bottom of the pot - which was supposed to take care of the drain holes - and across the top but no good, it only slowed them down for a little while. I've reapplied it to the top twice more. I'm approaching flowering but I don't want to flip them over until they are HEALTHY. Plus, I want to clone this time and I don't want my clones to be little weaklings. Hoping this combo will clear stuff up.

Ya man you will kill the good bugs. It might clear things up.
Try top dressing with mosquito dunks. crumble them up
 
i have floresent bulbs on the floor of my grow room for bottom growth and noticing about 10-15 gnats on the lights of the floresent tubes? ..walking like there dead really slow and not flying ??

i sprayed azatrol about 2 days ago and 3 days ago to ...do u think this is what slowed them down ? i also see a couple when i poke at the soil..my plants are 4 ft what should i do ?
 
I'm still seeing gnats in my room. I actually did the nematodes, and I keep Mosquito dunks in my water rez, but they still hang around. Every day theres like 5 dead in my de-hum collection bucket. I have multiple hot shot strips up in my room because of mites. It wasted the mites and probably every other living thing, but the Gnats are just hanging around. As long as you can manage their population its just an annoyance, but you have to stay on top of them. I still am using sticky traps, and dunks, and gnatrol every now and then, and for now HotShots. They just don't go away.
 
You started fighing em the same time i did, and mine are gone, Sand on top of all plants, tape holes in bottem or pack sand around them, and cut way back on ur water.
 
dude i see them in my floresent tubes (for bottom growth) walking HELLA slow and cant fly anymore IS THIS FROM THE AZATROL I SPRAYED 2 DAYS AGO?

wonder y they are goin so fuckin slow and not flying got like 10 a day almost dead
 
GOGNATS!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear by this stuff. I have an infestation of these buggers. I'm talking so many I ended up naming them and having coffee with'em in the am before work and shit.

I got me some GoGnats, added 1/4 tsp to 2 gallons of water and BOOM. Next morning I saw nothing...none. Since I've seen 1 or 2 here or there but nothing like before. I've now up'd the amount to almost a full tsp per 2 gallons, for the last 2 grows.

In between grows I've been spraying my airpots (so many holes for them to live in), the tops of the soil and the actual plants themselves. Done that 3 times now.

I did see 1, just 1 gnat last night when I fed them. So GoGnats is a clear winner in my book!!!! :)
 
When you prune off a part of a leaf, or a leaf is looking bad stick it in the soil...as long as there is organic matter in the soil the larvae are less likely to attack your roots. They are a huge deal in hydro because the roots are all they are going to want to eat...and lots of ventilation..they hate windy places...let things dry out a lot...

I don't know about a drench.....I feed from a 2 gallon watering can. In that I added my usual nutes and then 1/4 tsp of GoGnats, thats it. Ph'd and went on with biz.

That was about 1.5-2 weeks ago and since then I've up'd to just about 1 full tsp per 2 gallons. Then i feed as normal.

As for the spray, in a 32oz spray bottle I put about 1/4 tsp. Hope it helps

Thats what a drench is. You mixed the gognats with your nutes?? Glad it worked I use Gnatrol at 2 tsp per gallon but I only feed with just water.
