I have a realy apaleptic(sp) dog. She is 16 weeks old a boxer/ pit mix and I'm trying to calm her down with a tincture. We have only tile floors so if she hit her head it could do damage. But when calm she if fine. At this time we can pick her up but later there is no way. So I want to know who would try this and who is going to call me a bad man?

I wont call you a bad man. your trying to do right by the animal, not for your personal amusement.

Ive never had a tincture so I have no idea how potent it is but I know any time my cat got blown on resin (also her name) she would smile and go pass out in the window sun patch for a few hours.

Thinking of giving her 1cc every 4 hours with food. Vets are no help they want to put her down. I'm not cool with that. Might be a pain but will die loved.

I don't know what a tincture is. If it's thc, then go for it.

My dog used to love getting high (I'd blow weed in his face; don't really know if it got him high), and he'd be really calm and lay in the corner comfortably...

Epileptic is the word you're looking for. Look for something high in CBD. Won't have the 'high' effect and AFAIK CBD is stronger treatment for epilepsy than THC. THC works too though.

Good luck.

The only tincture I have is 190 proof corn grain mixed with 50/50 MK buds. Any animal people out there that can help. Mom is a vet down here and told me to try it. Better then anything they would do.

Look up Medical Marijuana Dog Treats on google. they sell and make them for dogs with problems similar to yours. They have recipes as well:) GL! I wish your little girl the best of luck.

Was going to make doggie biskets out of the butter I made this weekend. Would love to see her outlive her mom even if I gotta keep her doped up. I got plenty of weed to do it

Hey man, you can try the tincture and see if it works but if the vet is telling you it's time to put her down you might seriously start to think about that. It's a very tough decision, one I had to do last year. But the vet finally asked me "can your dog still do the things she liked to do?". And the honest answer was no. She went through two bad seizures and I could see in her eyes she was completely terrified. She was running into the walls and falling down and just fucking awful all around.

I'm not saying its time, but I am saying is that it is going to be time soon. I have scene some
Pretty fucked up cases where people will just refuse to put there pet down. Hell my buddies dog is blind, can barely walk and a month ago..stopped eating. I told him, dude, animals only stop eating for one reason and one reason only. Dude has a dog on an IV.

Anyways, shitty situation and I hope the tincture helps. Sucks to loose a good friend, but think of all the great times you had together.
Peace

A MMJ club owner in my area makes them because his dog has seizures when he gets too excited(and they were getting more severe and common in his older age) and from talking to him they seem to work. I told him about my aunts dog and he offered to sell some to me for her but unfortunately she passed away(she was on pills her whole life - I think medicated treats would be better and more natural)

I was driving around about 2 weeks ago and saw a dog that looked probably 19 or 20 years old could barely walk(front door was open at a house near where I was parked) and the dog wobbled outside- peed on the porch - and wobbled back in. The dog looked like it was suffering but some people are just too naive to know when enough is enough. If a dogs epilepsy can be controlled with medical marijuana there would be NO reason to put that dog down. You have to be careful with alcohol with animals though - and you have to be careful with your dosage. You aren't going for a couchlock for yourself.

She is happy and can do everything needed of a dog she won't potty in the house and sleep in my bed. She just has issues when happy she can't control her limbs. And falls over. I hate the vets here sence they say she will be too much to deal with later put her down now. Fuck that if she is happy and will live happy I will do the dirty work. Had her in my hands from day one. Not going to put her down becouse it's going to be to much work. I have kids.

The alcohol tink is all I have right now. The others won't be ready for a week. But there still alcohol based. So gonna try the doggie biskets thing. Some of them I think I would eat." lol thanks all you made me feel better for medicating my dog. I can't get pain killers from the vet for her.

My dog has epileptic seizures. She is a 2 year old boston terrier. She got one about every six months but a couple weeks ago she had about 7 in a row and I thought she was going to die and the vets said she would probably have brain damage if she came out. Well she did and didn't have an noticeable brain damage so I am happy about that. I have drugs the vet gave me for her now that I give her but I have thought about giving simpson oil instead because the drugs they are giving her are supposed to really mess up her kidneys and liver and will ruin them at a early age. I have heard of people who have seizures using edibles and simpson oil to control their seizures and I know its not bad for your liver or really mess with other medication so I was thinking if she has another one I might try it to see if it helps.

Your try putting some bud down to see if it eats it,if it doesn't it's not meant to eat it,dogs are grazers and meat eaters so they will only eat selective plant material and meat.
Smoking with the dog is cruel and i don't recommend it,when i was younger i used to do this to my dogs and cats and i feel it was a bad mistake. You ever heard of http://www.thundershirt.com/

She has been hand feed sence day one. If we give it to her she eats it. Hand feeding a dog my size is going to be hard. I'll try and get a vid of her just walking. I'm not heartless but realy don't see her making the winter. Just want her to feel loved and happy .
