Flowering with UnderCurrentDWC

I am doing a run without super boost. Just bloom and bud blaster. The super boost hasn't really done much for me.. And if anything I think it slowed when switching... Great to have you testing it, I respect your other tests and look forward to your full experience! :-)

UC how is SuperBoost/Bud Blaster doing?

I just ordered both as my SageNSour needs it soon, the Bloom and Superlicious is working wonders as is the AquaGro. I loving this stuff as of now, PH is rock solid when pH water before adding my recipe.

Just thought I'd share what's going on. It seems that your information is accurate because this is the fastest growth I have ever experienced! Just flipped the schedule and nutes. The ones on the left got the Uncle Ben treatment and they are all a little over 3 weeks past being barely rooted clones and the tallest is 25". I think I am going to add cages and do some training soon but I am not so literate on those methods yet.

Thanks again for all the help and inspiration.

Those do look nice, nicely done. Is UCDWC ok? He hasn't posted in quite some time.

+REP for a NICE setup. Clean work, those are gonna be some MONSTERS, which I'm sure you already know judging by the size of those cages!

Question for ya: Saw you mentioned 10x capacity as a minimum for water pump in another thread, and noticed you have over 20x. Sizing out parts for a setup I'm planning, and I'm wondering if you've noticed any major benefit to having so much more waterflow. The only reason I've seen NOT to go bigger is if the system can't flow fast enough and water levels get uneven. But is there any such thing as overkill in this situation?

I have to pump the water up 7 feet to the water chiller, that knocks the flow down to 1000gph and remains in range for the chiller flow requirements.
That makes it 12.5x/hour, If you look at a cch2o unit they average 5x/hour, I feel with higher flow rates you can accomplish the same growth at lower Ec/ppm levels, and yes with high flow rates you need large diameter connective piping.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Your new stuff is looking awesome!!! I am working on doubling my sites then to crazier things but for now I have some pics of the progress that you have inspired.

I had to cut the top of the tent open to raise the lights because these things became monsters... I am not complaining, just saying. They stand about 6'6" off the ground currently.

I am scheduled to have another 2.5 to 3.5 weeks of flowering. I am very excited about the prospects.

I had no idea that these things would get so huge. I was hoping but I didn't include enough space in my plan.

Why are you going to such a large spacing on center vs what you and others had been doing in the 30" to 48"? I am now allowed to grow 30 plants on site but is it more productive to grow a few monsters or condense their spacing and size and run 30? I don't want them fighting for light quite so much but I am somewhat limited on space. My thoughts are to expand from 24" oc in a tent to 36" in a larger room. I am also toying with the idea to offset the 2nd and 4th runs to the mid points. Run a 6 5 6 5 matrix? I haven't seen anyone setup that way, it all seems to be in straight lines and orientation. Any thoughts?

I love those scrog cages. Good idea using the floor for stabilization. And as usual your work is super clean man.

I felt I could possibly get as much or more from 4 trees vert bulb than I could from 12 plants under 4kw horizontal, when growing large plants last time I felt they needed a lot more room. 110" is about 9 feet I'd like to have the bulb end up 1.5-2 feet from the plant giving me a 5-6 foot wide plant with adequate light spacing, I admit it is very wide spacing but I think once everything fills out it will be optimal. ((knock on wood))

P.s.
I do think that off set spacing would use the grow room more efficiently, the average person would probably think 12 plans is better than 11 and 24 plants is better than 22.

I can't wait to see how it comes out. Those babies are already monsters in the making. Big ole Indie!

I had the exact opposite reasoning for confining my space and using a tent. I felt like if I was able to limit distance I wouldn't lose so much energy because of the foot candle degradation over distance. I got the super reflective on all sides tents to bounce it right back into the plants and have at least 50% overkill for lighting if I was running sog. From my limited experience the intensity of the light and pattern is where it is at. I am running my 3, 1kw lights at about 10" off the tops. I guess I need to do some more research on vertical lighting if that seems to work better. I am still switching my brain over to this style and trying to dump everything that no longer applies. No more dirt and no more sog for me!!! Although I do miss being able to move the plants around to work on them easier. Small price to pay.

I enjoy your updates because you can't seem to leave well enough alone! Your scientific approach, innovation and attention to detail are appreciated.

What ever came of the super boost test? Did I miss/forget the post? I can't seem to find it. I am about to switch to it and was wondering if you had better luck staying with bloom aqua or with the change over?

I no longer care how many plants I grow, (legally of course), I just want my time and energy to be as efficient as possible. If you know what I mean :bigjoint:

I didn't have good results using the supper boost, and would recommend sticking with the aqua bloom and bud blaster.

This time I'll be using Aqua grow and bud blaster for the bloom phase, I'm wondering if the lucas formula applies to Super Natural brand as well.
